I don’t think answers to your question are going to be as straightforward–I’m by no means an expert, but I think “medieval” is a little too broad. There are a lot of cultures in the medieval period and spellings of names varied so much. I suggest checking out the lists of names at the SCA.
I like [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] and [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], not so keen on Amalric though.
I like clunky Anglo-[name_m]Saxon[/name_m] names if that’s the kind of thing you’re going for?
