I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Melina[/name_f]! Such a sweet name.

To the ear I prefer [name_f]Milena[/name_f], but looking at your post I’d go with [name_f]Melina[/name_f]. [name_f]Melaina[/name_f] is a compromise you might like?

[name_f]Milena[/name_f], I love it! Although [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f] are somewhat common names alone, these aren’t her actual names so I wouldn’t worry whatsoever in terms of popularity, as [name_f]Milena[/name_f] isn’t popular.

[name_f]Melina[/name_f] kind of reminds me of the word Melanine, [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] and Melons. [name_f]Milena[/name_f] is much nicer.

I love the name [name_f]Melina[/name_f]! Its a Serbian one and the nickname [name_f]Mila[/name_f] is also one of my favorite names!!! (me-leh-na) is the way its pronounced in Eastern Europe

[name_f]Melina[/name_f] is so so pretty. <3

[name_f]Milena[/name_f], definitely! I may be a bit biased since one of my closest friends is called [name_f]Milena[/name_f], but it sounds a lot lovelier to me. We simple call her Mile (mee-leh). I think [name_f]Mina[/name_f] would work better for [name_f]Milena[/name_f] than [name_f]Melina[/name_f], it’s like a contraction of the first and last syllables.
In short, I’d say go for [name_f]Milena[/name_f] and call her [name_f]Mina[/name_f]. Best of both worlds!

[name_f]Melina[/name_f] is so sweet!

[name_f]Milena[/name_f] So pretty

For what it’s worth, “melena” (which I think would sound quite similar to the pronunciation of “melina”) means black, tarry stool (due to a GI bleed). It’s a medical term that the general population may not know, though anyone in healthcare would perhaps associate the two…
just my two cents. it’s too bad, because both melina and milena are really pretty names. [name_m]Just[/name_m] may help you decide!

I prefer [name_f]Milena[/name_f] because of the nn options [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lena[/name_f], which I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u].

I prefer [name_f]Milena[/name_f], and I do think it’s the much more common one. [name_f]Melina[/name_f] might always be correcting people on how to pronounce her name, while [name_f]Milena[/name_f] wouldn’t be. I love the nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f], however, I think the nn [name_f]Mina[/name_f] works better for [name_f]MIleNA[/name_f] than [name_f]MelINA[/name_f].

I know (and love) a [name_f]Milena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f]!

I would pick [name_f]Milena[/name_f].

Being in the healthcare field I would never name my child either of these.

I am honestly considering [name_f]Milena[/name_f] for a main character name in a novel I am pursuing. I like [name_f]Milena[/name_f] better, but I would pronounce it [name_f]Mil[/name_f]-een-a as opposed to [name_f]Mil[/name_f]-ayn-a. There may be confusion there for other people. Also, Mileena is a Mortal Kombat character if you want to avoid that spelling as well

I prefer the sound of [name_f]Milena[/name_f]. The sound is less harsh.

[name_f]Melania[/name_f] Trump is a Slovene-American jewelry and watch designer and former model. She is married to [name_m]Donald[/name_m] Trump.

Definitely [name_f]Melina[/name_f].
