I don’t mind [name_f]Melody[/name_f] I do prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] only because [name_f]Melody[/name_f] sounds more like a word name and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is more established. melody Monks is fine to me
I don’t think the alliteration is an issue, I quite like it. I think rhyming and repetition of whole chunks of sounds can be problematic eg. [name_f]Melody[/name_f] [name_m]Melton[/name_m] or [name_f]Melody[/name_f] Dermody - but that’s not the case here!
I don’t think it’s that bad. Although I do like alliteration in names. There’s no big repeating sounds besides the M. The el, dy, and on all are different sounds in each. If you guys really like [name_f]Melody[/name_f] go for it! She’ll be called just [name_f]Melody[/name_f] way more than she’ll be called [name_f]Melody[/name_f] Monks.
