Hello! [name_f]Mia[/name_f] has been growing on me lately, I use to dislike it bc of it’s popularity, but I don’t mind it as much. But I’m worried a bit that by the time I’ll have kids(~10), the name would be considered “out-dated”. What are your thoughts on this name; has it lost it’s spark for you? Also mn suggestions are always welcomed! Right now I have:
I do think that since [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is one of those names that sort of ‘‘came out of nowhere’’ it will feel quite tied to the 2010s in the future. I really like the sound of [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] though! I think a long, classic middle is the best choice with [name_f]Mia[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] flows best, love it. [name_m]Can[/name_m]’t tell if it will be considered dated or not, but that’s a nice name anyway.
I do think there’s a possibility that [name_f]Mia[/name_f] will feel dated in 10 years or so, but it’s hard to say now. I think it makes a sweet nickname for some more timeless names like [name_u]Maria[/name_u], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], or [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]. From the combos you listed, I think [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] has the best flow and sounds so pretty. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] sounds a bit too much like an Italian phrase to me. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] is also sweet but the flow is a bit off with the two vowels clashing against each other at the end of [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and beginning of [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f].
Some other ideas:
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f](te)
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] was on my list for awhile! It did lose some spark for me, but I still think it’s sweet! [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is just darling!
Mia has grown on me too! I know a little Mia and it’s really warmed me to the name. I love Mia Genevieve.

although [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is very popular (number 5 in the UK and 8 in the US) i don’t think it’s quite reached the stage of it feeling predictable or ‘boring’ in the same way as some other top 10 names. It has a sparkle to it and a youthful charm. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is my favourite as the two balance each other really nicely!
My birth name is [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f], a name which was incredibly unusual whilst I was growing up (born 1990). However I’ve gone by [name_f]Mia[/name_f] for the last 20 years. I love [name_f]Mia[/name_f] because it is short, sweet, but not too unusual. As a child I was often [name_f]Mimi[/name_f], so whilst [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is short there are still some nickname possibilities too!
From your list I prefer [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Mia[/name_f] over [name_f]Mya[/name_f]/Maia/Maya but I prefer [name_f]Fia[/name_f]/Fiadh overall compared to [name_f]Mia[/name_f]!
I knew a [name_f]Mia[/name_f] growing up. She was a horrible person but I always liked her name and it was rare then. The fact that I could still like the name when I didnt like the person really says something!
Then it got really popular. I even have a couple friends who named their daughters [name_f]Mia[/name_f].
I think when it gets less popular that will actually be nice! I think its a really pretty name. It isn’t made up or trendy sounding. Its substantial, short, sweet and feminine. I dont picture it as one to get “dated” as I think it sounds nice on any age. But you can’t predict name trends. You just have to do what feels right for you!
I really like [name_f]Mia[/name_f]! [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is my favorite combo
I understand your concern about this name being dated, however, I’m pretty sure that there will still be short “A” ending names in the top 50. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is not among the most populars anymore, it could still fit with that trend, and feel familiar. What I like most about this name is that it’s international. It’s among the most popular names in [name_u]Germany[/name_u], Switzerland, Netherlands, [name_f]England[/name_f], [name_f]France[/name_f], Norway, [name_f]Italy[/name_f], Spain, Portugal (and many others!). In summary, great pick.
