What are your thoughts on the different spellings of the name? I used to think that every way but [name]Michaela[/name] was wrong, but now I’m beginning to think they are just unrelated names that happen to sound the same. [name]Michaela[/name] makes me think of [name]Michael[/name], and [name]McKayla[/name] and other variants make me think of [name]Kayla[/name]. And [name]Makayla[/name] even has a slightly different pronunciation if you say is correctly.
I see them all as [name]Michaela[/name] spelled wrong.
I think [name]Michaela[/name], [name]Micaela[/name], and [name]Mikaela[/name] are nice (the latter two being pronounced me-ka-EH-la)
Any of the ones involving Ys and/or more than one upper case letter, and/or ending in H are a big ‘no thank you’,
I don’t like it when the first vowel is an A (Macaila, which yes, I’ve seen in ‘real life’).
I don’t see [name]Michaela[/name]-[name]Micaela[/name]-[name]Mikaela[/name] and [name]McKayla[/name]-and-similar-spellings as being the same name, at all.
[name]Michaela[/name]-etc. is a feminine form of [name]Michael[/name].
[name]McKayla[/name]-etc. is Mc + [name]Kayla[/name] (and spelling liberties thereof)
I pronounce [name]Michaela[/name] like mick-AIL-ah. The rest I pronounce as mick-AY-lah
I like [name]Mikayla[/name], [name]Mikaela[/name] and [name]Mikhaila[/name]. Any other ones are weird… To me.
[name]Michaela[/name] is at the top of my list, and the only thing holding me back is that there are so many bad spellings out there that the name itself is being tarnished, I fear.
I like [name]Michaela[/name] only. I think it’s beautiful, but has been ruined a bit by all the other (tacky) spellings.
I couldn’t agree more. [name]Michaela[/name] is so beautiful just the way it is.
I don’t tink any of them are spelled wrong, but I do think [name]Michaela[/name] is a classier, more timeless spelling. I just find it nicer than [name]Mikayla[/name], [name]Makayla[/name], etc.
I think [name]Michaela[/name] is the only acceptable spelling. The rest are kre8ive.
Poor [name]Michaela[/name]. I fear she’ll never recover from the barrage of kree8ive spellings that have dragged her down.
I’m definitely of the “there’s [name]Michaela[/name], and there’s [name]Michaela[/name] spelled wrong” school of thought.
A part of me kind of likes the alternative spellings, but I usually hate it with other names. hmm…
I find them all unappealing, but [name]Michaela[/name] is the best of the bunch. I would use [name]Mischa[/name] or [name]Micah[/name] or [name]Kay[/name] or [name]Kelly[/name] to honor a [name]Michael[/name].
