I have a really close friend named [name]Michelle[/name]. I love this name, but don’t want her to think I named a child after her. My husband also loves this name. It’s only being considered as a middle. (We are not pregnant or TTC, just getting ideas)
Are there any other proper spellings or names similar to it? I always adored this name. Before I met my friend actually. I think she made me love it more.
I recently met a [name]Mischa[/name]- have seen it spelled [name]Misha[/name] too. Has the same sound but feels a little different from [name]Michelle[/name]. If you went with something like [name]Misha[/name] Elizabethe you sould still have that [name]Michelle[/name] sound. Good luck!
I think it depends on what part of [name]Michelle[/name] appeals to you most. [name]Michele[/name] (with an accent) would be a nice difference in spelling but would sound the same as your friend. If you like the [name]Misha[/name] opening then [name]Misha[/name], [name]Michaela[/name], [name]Mirabel[/name] might work.
If you love the -elle ending there are a lot of [name]Elle[/name] names that could substitute including [name]Rochelle[/name], [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Elliott[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], ect.
It’s kind of the combination of the both the Mish and [name]Elle[/name] sound. I’m not a huge fan of either one separately, but together it just sounds lovely.
I’d say [name]Rachelle[/name]/Rychelle would have the same elements that you like. The beginning “Rish” sound is so close to Mich-. And you’ve got the -elle.
