Hey guys! [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] much like the title says. I’ve recently fallen in love with word names, but i have a hard time coming up with middles for them. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you guys have any ideas?
I think a name which begins with an ‘L’ sound would work well with [name_u]Story[/name_u], as well as a double barrel name, and that it could work as a unisex name. e.g.
[name_u]Story[/name_u] Leia-Grace
[name_u]Story[/name_u] Leo-Mattia
I think that [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] could also work as a unisex name, and that it could either have a more common name or another object noun as a middle name. E.g.
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_f]Malia[/name_f]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_u]William[/name_u]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] [name_u]Fox[/name_u] (these are just examples, but I’m not fond of this one)
[name_u]Reed[/name_u] would also, again, work as a unisex name, but it feels more masculine to me. I don’t think that there’s a specific type of name that I could narrow down, so it’s more one I’d play around with. If you like the sound of [name_u]Reed[/name_u], but aren’t to bothered about the spelling, I like the name [name_u]Reid[/name_u] slightly better. But, yeah, examples:

Okay… so it turns out I like names beginning with “Mc” for [name_u]Reed[/name_u].
I love Story to distraction - it’s so romantic and whimsical. I’ve always found it to be magical paired with a long, soft, feminine middle, possibly something French.

Reed sounds very masculine to me, but we are in the Girls thread so I’m not sure if you mean this one for a masc combo or a femme combo? If femme, I would make sure to use a very feminine middle name. I’m going to go ahead and treat it like a masc combo.
I would pair Reed with something longer, with a rugged, outdoorsy vibe, but not modern. I feel like Reed is frequently used with lots of surnames-as-firsts, which sort of muddies the nature/word name aspect. Choosing a middle name with a more classic, ancient feeling might help emphasize the nature vibes over the surname feel.
