Our son’s name is [name]Gage[/name], and baby #2 (team green) is due [name]August[/name] 29th.
We have decided on the middle name [name]Clark[/name] if [name]Baby[/name] #2 is a boy, but need a first name.
Here’s the requirements:
2+ syllables (since middle name is one syllable. Our last name has two, so a 3+ syllable name would sound best but 2 is acceptable)
can’t end in an “en” sound (our last name ends in “in” so it’s too rhymey)
can be shortened to a one-syllable, somewhat cool nickname. there’s the kicker!
I’m very much drawn to names like our son’s ([name]Gage[/name]), short, simple strong and a little cool sounding. We could just use [name]Clark[/name] as a first name, but I’d like something with a bit more of an edge. But not like we’re trying TOO hard.
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Clark[/name] is my favorite of these suggestions. [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Gage[/name] go together well and [name]Ash[/name] is a cute/cool nickname.
[name]Judson[/name] [name]Clark[/name]? [name]Jud[/name] is sort of a cool nickname, and I like [name]Judson[/name] and [name]Gage[/name] together. [name]Ezekiel[/name] nn [name]Zeke[/name] is cool too.
[name]Vincent[/name] [name]Clark[/name]. (I know one in real life.) I realize the “nt” is close the “en” you mentioned, but I really think it’s a great choice. Plus, [name]Vince[/name] is an AWESOME nn, and goes great with [name]Gage[/name]!
