Middle name Dawn

I would really love to use [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] as a middle name but want to get opinions on the name. I like using family names for middle names, and several of my family members have the name [name_m]Donald[/name_m] so this would be a great choice. Plus I love nature names. However I’m worried it sounds too masculine and harsh and am afraid my daughter won’t like it growing up. Also, I’m not sure it goes with the name we are pretty much set on: [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. I think it sounds ok but not great (I think because of the repeated D sound). So would you like it if it was your middle name? And how does it sound with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]?

My name is [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]. I’ve always had a difficult relationship with it as it felt a bit dated growing up. I am starting to like it a little more now, especially as nature names seem to be in at the moment… perhaps it could be due a revival?!

I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is really pretty x

I love nature names and the meaning of [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], but I have to admit, I just think [name_m]Don[/name_m] when I hear it. It would need to be paired with a very feminine, flowy first for me.

I love [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]. If you want something more feminine how about Donelle, Donella, [name_f]Dawnelle[/name_f], Dawnella, or [name_f]Dania[/name_f].

[name_f]Dawn[/name_f] has a throwback 70’s feel for me. I like it as a mn, but wouldn’t use it as a first.

I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] sounds beautiful!

I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is lovely!!! I would use it. It sounds nice with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] it’s a beautiful nature name–and having been given to a number of girls in the 1970s doesn’t make it any less worthy–and it has sentimental value. I really don’t think it is either harsh or masculine. It is my favorite of your mn choices for Audrey. I say go for it!

I personally prefer [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is OK.
