This is my first ever post on Nameberry so forgive me if it gets too long! We are having a third baby, due in [name_u]January[/name_u], and despite two ultrasounds at 19wks and 21 wks, they can’t be sure of the sex. I think it’s a girl, and the two techs both said they 70% feel like it’s a girl, but no certainty. That being said we have two boys ([name_u]Aiden[/name_u] Hensley and [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Peace[/name_u]) and are trying to come up with a girl name. My husband who can never settle on a name suddenly decided he LOVED [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], not my fav but he feels really strongly so we’re going with it. MY question: any ideas for a good middle name? We both love British sounding names and aren’t afraid of something unique but we’ve got no ideas! Also, our back up boy name is most likely [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
So, any middle names for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]? Bonus question: is [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] too “out there”? We both love it but I’m worried our more traditional minded friends/family will balk at it.
I do not think [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] is too out there at all, but it is unique! It’s a great name and I think you should use it if the baby happens to be a boy. (ps I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u])
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I love one syllable names with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] (if that isn’t obvious!) Also, [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is incredibly handsome - I love [name_m]Alistair[/name_m]/[name_m]Alastair[/name_m]/[name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] but never get very good reactions when I tell people, so I’d love to think that there’s a little [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] somewhere anyway!
Thanks guys, these are great! I really like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] was my great grandmother’s name. I also love [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] as mn’s, and [name_u]June[/name_u] is my first name! I’ll have to share these with my hubs.
[name_m]Alastair[/name_m] is definitely not too out there! I adore [name_m]Alastair[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u].
On my list I have [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] and I also like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]. Good luck!

I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any girls’ names you love? This may be your only chance to use them, and as your husband is the one who really ‘chose’ [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]'s name, you should get a bit more say in the middle Best of luck!
