Trying to pick a good middle name for our daughter to be, [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f].
Any ideas?
The only one my husband and I liked so far was [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]. We’re both science nerds, so any names that reference science or scientists would be great!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] <3 great choice
However I don’t like it with Lyra because they almost sound to similar, Aurelia Lyra, its a lot of R, EE and A sounds.
Some suggestions would be:
Aurelia Rosalind or Aurelia Elsie -Rosalind Elsie Franklin was the English chemist and X-ray crystallographer who contributed to the understanding of DNA
Aurelia Caroline - Caroline Herschel, the German astronomer, was the first woman to discover eight comets in her lifetime
Aurelia Margaret - Margaret Huggins was an Irish astronomer, who, along with her husband William Huggins discovered spectroscopy
Aurelia Beatrice - Beatrice Hahn: microbiology
Aurelia Marie - Marie Curie: chemistry and physics
Aurelia Jane -Jane Goodall: primatology and ethology
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is my name! It’s so wonderful to see someone interested in giving this name to their child. I think it’s been a name that’s treated me very well all my life - it’s very strong, feminine and distinctive, because it’s very hard to find anyone else with my name… unless you’re in [name_f]Italy[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] was passed down to me by my maternal grandmother, nonna [name_f]Aurea[/name_f] (her nickname). I really like the idea of [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Comet[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ada[/name_f] (Lovelace), [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] Curie… I don’t know much about science to help you. Sorry.
maybe some planet and constellation names like [name_f]Elara[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Star[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Lune[/name_f], all are pretty [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Star[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] lune are the best flowing I think
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] would be beautiful! I love [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] as well, but they do sound rather similar
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is one of my favourites. [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], too, actually. Both are in my short list so I obviously admire your taste. I think [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] doesn’t flow too well though, sorry.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] - like [name_f]Marie[/name_f] Curie
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - I second this. Such a pretty combination.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Carina[/name_f] - another lesser known astronomy name, meaning beloved.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Electra[/name_f] - like the pleiades.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Vega[/name_u] - [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]'s brightest star.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Talitha[/name_f] - [name_f]Ursa[/name_f] [name_m]Major[/name_m]'s star.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] - titan of the moon.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] - refers to the golden sun, which I think is a cool meaning.
