I need some serious help with the middle name. We did have [name_f]Faye[/name_f] picked out, but low and behold- another fall out to the mistake of telling a family member, only to have them ruin it. It is a girl, the first name will be [name_m]Callen[/name_m] ([name_u]Cal[/name_u]-in). I prefer short and sweet middle names, maybe 1-2 syllables. I would kind of like to incorporate that her conception day was [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s [name_u]Day[/name_u]. She was a total shocker for my husband and I, who had a 3 month old at the time. Now we have Carrick, born [name_u]November[/name_u] 5th, and [name_m]Callen[/name_m] due [name_u]November[/name_u] 8th of the following year…sheesh.
Okay I’m just going to suggest names than can be derived from [name_f]Valentina[/name_f].
[name_f]Lena[/name_f] or [name_f]Lina[/name_f], both of which may be ‘l’ heavy with [name_m]Callen[/name_m].
[name_f]Tina[/name_f]
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]
[name_u]Val[/name_u]
Or as [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] means healthy, strong… I did a search of names with the same meaning and came up with
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Marini[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Zuly[/name_f] (i know weird)
[name_u]Drew[/name_u]
[name_f]Adira[/name_f]
[name_f]Briana[/name_f]
or a search of names meaning love and there is (the shorter ones at least)
[name_f]Aimee[/name_f]
[name_f]Amy[/name_f]
[name_f]Brisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Amata[/name_f]
[name_f]Amoris[/name_f]
The last name is [name_u]Kelley[/name_u]. [name_m]Callen[/name_m] ___ [name_u]Kelley[/name_u], if that helps any. I did search names meaning love. I just am having such a hard time. I want to hear/see a name and just think it is PERFECT. I may be being too picky lol.
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] Amore (“a-MOR-ay,” the Italian word for love)
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Tine[/name_f] (I know it’s crazy, but say it aloud…her name would rhyme with [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]! [name_m]How[/name_m] often do you use the middle name in real life anyway?!)
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] Lovelia
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Lovina[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] (red is the color of [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s [name_u]Day[/name_u])
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] (harps seem romantic and cupid-ish, right?)
Good luck!
[name_m]How[/name_m] ruined? [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] is nice.
Since [name_m]Callen[/name_m] is so unisex, how about something really feminine in the middle? [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]'s a good middle, but [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Valen[/name_f] rhymes.
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Valeria[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Adora[/name_f] (a bit too-sweet)
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] Amora
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_u]Paris[/name_u]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Aphrodite[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] Thaïs
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] — or if your husband bought you flowers that day, then the flower they were: [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Orchid[/name_f], etc
Some of these would go really nicely with [name_f]Calla[/name_f] as well, which is a pretty romantic flower in itself. [name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is pretty fantastic, and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] works nicely too.
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] Thaïs
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]
I like [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] a lot, actually! [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Tine[/name_f], I can sooo see being a nickname no matter what! LOL. [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] has been a dangling option, so has [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Wren[/name_f]…but I think that sounds kind of harsh together.
[name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_f]Faye[/name_f] was ruined by me telling my mother. Odd when she complained of people ruining the names she had when she was pregnant with me. Anyway, I told her that we both liked [name_f]Faye[/name_f] and she said “Well, how did you come up with THAT?” I said, “I don’t know, it just popped in my head and sounded really good together.” She said, “Well [name_f]Fay[/name_f] (different spelling), was my mother’s sister’s name. And she was named after so-and-so. What about [name_f]Faith[/name_f]?” That is when I said, “Gross…” Now my husband can’t get it out of his head that [name_f]Faye[/name_f] sounds like [name_f]Faith[/name_f], which he does not like.
Mother’s sister’s middle name ([name_f]Dolly[/name_f] [name_f]Fay[/name_f]), but had it legally changed to her first name ([name_f]Fay[/name_f] [name_f]Dolly[/name_f])… weird story. I am not really close to my family, so I get told new things all of the time it seems lol.
Thank you for all of the suggestions!!
