We are about 6 weeks away from welcoming our baby girl into the world. I had thought we were 100% on her name but recently I’ve been thinking it’s too much of a mouthful. Hubs still loves it but I would like some other middle name considerations.
Originally we were set on [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Winifred[/name], last name is 2 syllables starts with an L and ends with -en sound. We are using the english pronunciation of [name]Clementine[/name].
So far I’ve come up with:
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Winifred[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Arden[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
I would love more ideas to play around with though, bonus points if the name has a Welsh origin.
Thank you, we have [name]Juniper[/name] on the back burner for a possible future sister so that rules out [name]June[/name]. I’m not sure how I feel with the others, I love them on their own but not quite with [name]Clementine[/name].
I think it is the 3-3-2 syllable count of [name]Winifred[/name] that is throwing me off! I didn’t consider that 3-4-2 may be the way to go, over 3-2-2 or something else. I love the name [name]Aurelia[/name] but personally it seems too soft for my style. And the “wyn” ending is something I’m trying to avoid (though near impossible with Welsh names) as that is how my maiden name ends and I would like to use that name for child #2 in a few years. Thanks!
I think I may add [name]Hermione[/name] to the possible middle name list, and perhaps [name]Eleanor[/name] as it is a family name.
I’d love to hear some more 4 syllable suggestions!
I’ve always found [name]Clementine[/name] a hard name to find that ‘just right’ middle name for! Especially because I use two middle names.
I generally think a two syllable name sounds the best and I’ve had [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Freya[/name] on my list. Not sure how you feel about those…good luck!
I adore [name]Poppy[/name], and of course considered [name]Lucy[/name] instead of [name]Lucille[/name] (family name). My concern with [name]Poppy[/name] is the possible double nature association to those who think of the fruit first when [name]Clementine[/name] makes an appearance, I’ll add it to the list though. And while I would love, love, love to meet a [name]Freya[/name] it feels very out of place with my VERY English last name.
I like [name]Clementine[/name]! It’s absolutely adorable, but it’s not too childish. I like [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Lucille[/name] from your names best.
I like [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Lucille[/name] the best from your list. [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] doesn’t flow too easily and the N sounds for [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Arden[/name] makes it kind of “cut off” at the end-- and with the end of your last name, I don’t think this combo works well. What about [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Ardith[/name] instead? I think that flows a lot better. Some other suggestions:
