[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] is such a lovely name! I vote for [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f].

[name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] sounds great as sisters! I like [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but I feel like both middles are so close to [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I vote [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] would be my favorite. I think [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and [name_f]Clarice[/name_f] are too close to [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] make a wonderful sibling set.

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f], most definitely. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] sounds awkward and harsh after the soft flow of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].

Oh wow, [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] sound amazing together.

I think [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] actually balances best, but [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]) are too close to [name_f]Elise[/name_f] for my liking, so I’d go with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is lovely.

Also, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is an anagram of [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. It’s probably not all that relevant to you, but I thought I should point it out.

I love love love the names [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] together!

Would you consider [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]? I agree with other users that [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are very similar to [name_f]Elise[/name_f].

Thanks so much for the responses! I wanted some feedback on how the names sounded (since most people will just hear the name and not know why it was chosen), but now I’ll give a little background on my choices.

[name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Clarice[/name_f] would be to honor my father [name_m]Clarence[/name_m]. So, yes, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] would work too! I’m not sure why I didn’t think of that. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]… hmmmm…

[name_f]My[/name_f] middle name is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and when I gave my first daughter her middle name [name_f]Elise[/name_f] (after my grandmother) I didn’t think about how our middle names were from the same origin. But now I was thinking of continuing the theme so the similarity of [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] was intentional in this case.

Finally, [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is actually the name my daughter has been called for the last 3 months. I adopted her and there was no advance notice. When I was pressured into picking a name, I used [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (knowing it was an anagram of [name_f]Celia[/name_f]). I never felt like the name fit her but also didn’t have a name that did. Last week the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] came into my head as I was looking at a photo of her. It’s a name that wasn’t previously on my list, but I think it suits her well (and I’m glad to hear the consensus is that it goes well with [name_f]Celia[/name_f])!! So, I could keep [name_f]Alice[/name_f] as a middle name for some continuity and to appease the relatives that will think I’m crazy for changing her name.

I love [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] for sisters. With her big sister’s MN being [name_f]Elise[/name_f], I wouldn’t go for [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] for [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]'s middle - way too similar. Of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Clarice[/name_f], I think [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] fits better.

In this case, I would keep [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. She might not be old enough to know her name (?), but if family members are becoming attached to the name, that’s something to consider. Also, she might like to know later on that her middle name was a special name she was called when she was a baby, or when she first joined your family, or whatever the case may be…
