I’ve recently been fixated on the name [name_m]Dax[/name_m]. I really like the simplicity of it and I’m kinda a fan of [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] (I’m probably more of a fan of his wife but I love them together) and the name just keeps crossing my mind even though I already have a shortlist of 3 other names that I’m waiting for my husband to decide about! So I’m not sure [name_m]Dax[/name_m] will go onto the list - but it still could I suppose! We haven’t ultimately decided yet so I have time to brainstorm still!
What middle name pairs with [name_m]Dax[/name_m]?
The only one I can think of is [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]. I think they go really well together but I’m usually not a huge fan of the name [name_m]William[/name_m] so wondering if theres anything else with a similar feel.
I’m also NOT a fan of [name_m]Daxton[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] brother is [name_u]Dustin[/name_u] and I have a cousin named [name_m]Denton[/name_m] - so yeah, no. Too many names starting with D and ending in -on or -in. [name_f]My[/name_f] name and my husband’s also both end similarly in that sound too, so I only like [name_m]Dax[/name_m] by itself!
Oooh [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Wiley[/name_m]. I’ve literally never thought about [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] - that is kinda cool and flows well. [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] is also handsome!
I love the [name_m]German[/name_m] spelling [name_m]Wilhelm[/name_m] but I worry it would just cause pronunciation confusion. [name_f]Do[/name_f] people just pronounce it without a [name_m]German[/name_m] accent in the states. I have a [name_m]German[/name_m] last name beginning with a W (well my maiden last name) and I’m always surprised but impressed when people pronounce it the [name_m]German[/name_m] way, which is rare, so I wonder if same rules apply for [name_m]Wilhelm[/name_m]?
I love [name_m]Dax[/name_m] on it’s own. I will mention that I’ve heard it as a nickname for [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], so if you decide you need a fuller name that is an option.

I think [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Wilhelm[/name_m] is really really cool. I would pronounce it with a W for sure. But I still think it’s handsome and interesting.
In this case I wouldn’t be too concerned with mispronunciation of [name_m]Wilhelm[/name_m] because it’s a middle name and those don’t get thrown around too often.
I like [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_u]Logan[/name_u] too!
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m] has been on our list which I think sounds good with [name_m]Dax[/name_m] too. [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Marshall[/name_m]. So I might throw that out to my husband. Like if he doesn’t like [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] as a first name, maybe he will like [name_m]Dax[/name_m] [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] better! I’ll throw it out and see where it lands with him! No idea if he will like [name_m]Dax[/name_m] or not and I had no idea I liked it so much either but it’s been on my mind for the past 3 days to the point that I think I’m adding it into the ring!!
