Which middle name do you like best with [name]Elizabeth[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Elisabeth[/name]? We are thinking of using nickname [name]Lizzie[/name]–not sure that works if we did the “s” spelling. Big sister is [name]Julia[/name] [name]Natalie[/name].
I prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name], because I think more people will spell it like this and your daughter won’t always have to say, “[name]Elisabeth[/name] with an S, no Z.”
I love the idea of [name]Lizzie[/name] [name]Jane[/name]!
Unless you have a meaningful reason for preferring the S that overrides the consideration that she’d always have to correct people who assume it’s the dominant Z spelling, I’d use [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Especially if you want to use the [name]Lizzie[/name]/[name]Lizzy[/name] or [name]Eliza[/name] nicknames.
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] work really well.
I agree that [name]Elizabeth[/name] is the spelling, unless yo uhave a reason to vary it. I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name] too. But mostly I think that [name]Elizabeth[/name] itself limits the mn choices. It must be one syllabul and pretty arn traditional. So [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Clare[/name], Eliabeth [name]Rose[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Anne[/name]…
Thsese are all pretty dull to me. But such is what [name]Elizabeth[/name] demands. Ho hum…
On a brighter note, I know an awesome woman named [name]Lizzie[/name]! The beauty of [name]Elizabeth[/name] is that there are so many ways to inflect the nn to reflect personality, as a little girl and as a grown woman.
I love [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]! [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] is nice but I find it weird that it’d be using both the [name]Queen[/name]'s name and her sister’s.
My daughter is [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] and I have a good friend [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. I think they are both wonderful
[name]Do[/name] you all like [name]Elizabeth[/name] as a sister for [name]Julia[/name]? Any other suggestions? We were considering [name]Isabel[/name], [name]Margaret[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name].
[name]Isabel[/name] also goes nicely… and I think [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] are too plain next to lively [name]Julia[/name]. (Though [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] would be perfect together!) And [name]Victoria[/name] is also pretty, but to rhymey with [name]Julia[/name].
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is my pick. [name]Lizzie[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is cute, but I am not really a fan of [name]Lizzie[/name]. There are so many other fabulous nicknames for [name]Elizabeth[/name].
I would also use a more daring middle name with a basic name like [name]Elizabeth[/name]. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Wren[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Skye[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]True[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name] is okay as a sister to [name]Julia[/name]. They are both classic, but [name]Julia[/name] has just a bit more je ne sais quoi.
[name]Isabel[/name] is a variation of [name]Elizabeth[/name], so I like that one for you. I also much prefer [name]Izzy[/name] over [name]Lizzie[/name].
However, unless you call [name]Julia[/name] a nn, like [name]Jules[/name], her sister probably shouldn’t have a name with a nickname.
Suggestions for [name]Julia[/name]'s sister: [name]Rosalind[/name] or [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Adele[/name] or [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Lizzie[/name] is totally fabulous! However, [name]Elizabeth[/name] is great that there are sooo many nickname options, she can pick what she likes and fits her best (like I picked [name]Lizzy[/name] for myself… which I think fits my fun and spunky personality very well!)
