We have decided on [name_f]Esme[/name_f] as baby girl’s first name. This was an easy one for us, so naturally, finding a middle name is proving a challenge! We have a popular English/Scottish last name.
Although [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is short, we find it has a lot packed into those 4 letters, so we’re thinking a shorter middle might be best for our taste. Also, we like the idea of a middle which starts with a ‘harsher’-sounding consonant. [name_f]Do[/name_f] people have a favorite of the above? Any suggestions?
Many thanks in advance. You all are an invaluable resource for brainstorming!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Esme[/name_f]! My favourite middles on your list are [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Livia[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. Another suggestion is [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Cerys[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f], and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Cate[/name_f]!
I have these on my list:
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f], or [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Cate[/name_f]! One of those would probably be my top.
I also like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Byrd[/name_u], [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all. Thanks so very much for the thoughtful replies
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is becoming the front-runner, but I love the suggestions of [name_f]Cerys[/name_f] and [name_f]Greer[/name_f].
Also, for those of you with [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] on your lists, those were on mine too before we narrowed, but I still think they’re fab.
When I read the title of your post, I immediately thought that [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] would work well with [name_f]Esme[/name_f], and it’s in your list! I think it’s a sign [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] also sounds nice.
