We are starting to explore middle names for our Eve, due early next year, and we’re all over the map in terms of conventional vs unique and bold options.
She will likely have my maiden name as a second middle name (it’s one syllable - think “Hunt”), and her last name will start with an S and be three syllables (think “Sutherland” as an example). There is also a world where we use only my maiden name as her middle, but it sounds quite sharp with Eve also being one syllable.
I would love to hear what resonates with you all - and I am very open to other suggestions!
So many lovely options! [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] is beautiful, [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is stunning, and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is sweet and pretty!
Also loving [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] (cute!)
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f], and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] came to mind
I think [name_f]Eve[/name_f] has a lot of versatility, and you could go a lot of ways with it! [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] were my favorites of yours!
I am a big fan of these myself:
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Fiala[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (like just [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Fiala[/name_f], too)
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Galilea[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Gardenia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Wisteria[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Nechama[/name_f] (love that this means “comfort”)
I think I tend to like more unusual names with it, but I love the classic appeal of [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! There is someone who is occasionally on this site, she has an [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], which I think is stunning, too.
With the flow of the last names, I think [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is perfect. I do also like [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. But [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] I think will definitely sound best with the last names.
I love [name_f]Eve[/name_f] - such an underrated name.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first choice is [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. It’s gorgeous to look at and has a really nice rhythm, but for a more classic choice I’d say [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. I like how the v in [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and the x in [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] give both names a bit of sparkle, but they ultimately are both classic, underused choices.
I definitely prefer the longer middle name options compared to the shorter ones because of the flow and also knowing your 1 syllable last name is also likely to follow
The only one I would steer clear from is [name_m]Sinclair[/name_m], SOLELY because it’s a last name and if you add your maiden name as one of her middle names that would give her 3 last names in total. Not the worst thing in the world but it’s a little heavy and it also takes away from having your last name in her name too
Sorry, you have so many beautiful options I can’t possibly choose just 3.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Selene[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f].
Is it possible you can have 2 middles and have your maiden name and surname hyphenated into one surname to squeeze in another gorgeous middle? That’s what I’d be doing .
And like I even like [name_f]Astra[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought would usually be unglamorous car model, but I really like how it looks and sounds with [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Well done on some really strong and lovely combos, no wonder you’re finding it hard to choose.
haha thank you so much! It’s so funny, we found the first name almost easy - who knew this is where we’d get stuck! And I keep adding new options VS taking some away
Unfortunately, our hyphenated surname would be 16 characters and so I think just too long to be practical for her. But I appreciate your input and compliment!
No worries ha, my daughters hyphenated surname is 16 characters including the hyphen, and she has 2 middles , I just couldn’t not use my faves out of so big a pool (one of them is [name_f]Eve[/name_f], which is my long time favourite girls name).
Best of luck to you to whittle down, I would maybe refine with preferred meaning / vibes on top of how the name sounds as a whole.
I love [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and especially love your choice of [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]!
I would personally avoid [name_f]Eve[/name_f] with [name_f]El[/name_f]- or [name_m]Al[/name_m]- middle names like Elowen/Elizabeth since they tend to blend with [name_f]Eve[/name_f].
