We decided on [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] for a first name but this baby has no middle name.
Some ideas we had were [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] Besemer. [name_m]Cole[/name_m] is the middle name of my first son who passed just after birth. We are not sure if we want to use [name_m]Cole[/name_m] or not.
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] Besemer. [name_m]Scott[/name_m] is my husbands first name.
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. I would love a traditional [name_m]Christian[/name_m] name but not sure what sounds good. My son [name_u]Blake[/name_u] has the middle name [name_u]Michael[/name_u] so that one is out.
My husband loves modern names like [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Chase[/name_u], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u], etc. We both liked [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] Besemer but then the initials are GHB which I believe is the date rape drug.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like any of those? Or have any different ideas? We are at a stand still right now on this middle name business and I really need to figure it out.
I’m not sure if I’d use [name_m]Cole[/name_m]. On the one hand, it’s wonderful to want to honor your first son, but on the other, I feel like this little guy should have his own identity. However, the names do sound good together. It’s really up to you.
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] are pretty nice, but I’m honestly not loving any of the other names alongside [name_m]Garrett[/name_m]. (And yes, GHB is the date rape drug.)
Some other ideas for you:
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] / [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Isaias[/name_m] (I like these better than [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] with [name_m]Garrett[/name_m], seems to flow better)
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]
My favorite off your list is [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and then of course that is GHB again. Would you steer clear of those initials??
I’m so sorry! I had put it down and then was like… “Oh no, that’s GHB too!” and tried to edit it out really quick before you saw it. So hard to avoid initials.
[name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] Besemer is my favorite, but that’s a very personal choice for you whether to use it again. If you are ok with it, I think it could be a nice thing to tell your son he’s named after his older brother.
I also really like [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_u]Owen[/name_u] Besemer. [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_m]Cole[/name_m] are my favorites, but I think all of your ideas are nice except for the ones ending in -er like you last name ([name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]). It just sounds a bit repetitive.
Thank you everyone. I really like [name_m]Cole[/name_m] also but I am torn whether I should use it or not. I like the suggestion of [name_m]Colton[/name_m]. I will run that one by hubby tonight. My mother in law really wants his middle name to be [name_m]Scott[/name_m]. My husband is [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and my 2 year old is [name_u]Blake[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. My Mom seems to think I should use [name_m]Scott[/name_m] also. My husband and I are both not sold on any single middle name yet. Doesn’t feel like we found it yet. I wonder if we should just use [name_u]Michael[/name_u] again. [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]?
I kind of like the sound of [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m]. I know a little [name_m]Garrett[/name_m]. His middle name is [name_m]Ryder[/name_m]. If you want a Biblical name, you can never go wrong with [name_m]John[/name_m] or [name_u]James[/name_u].
[name_m]Just[/name_m] a little bit of info on [name_m]Cole[/name_m]. There is a new baseball player named [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] coming up in the major leagues. He’s projected to be a pretty big deal, so his name is probably going to be really familiar here very soon. I don’t know if it matters to you or not, but I know that some people are really against these kinds of connections, so I just wanted to put that out there in case having people ask if he’s named after a certain baseball player is something you’d be unhappy with…
I like the sound of [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_u]Layne[/name_u]. I do. I wanted something more traditional but that might grow on me. My husband kind of likes [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] now and maybe [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_m]Mitchell[/name_m]. What about [name_u]Ray[/name_u]? My mother in laws middle name is [name_u]Raye[/name_u]. [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u] or [name_m]Garret[/name_m] [name_m]Raymond[/name_m].
Thank you! [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] is one of my favorites. I would actually prefer [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] Besemer but Hubby and siblings won’t go for it. They are stuck on [name_m]Garrett[/name_m].
