Middle name for graham?

Wondering if you have preferences or other suggestions for my second son’s middle name. Firstborn is: [name]Miles[/name] [name]Archer[/name] K__man. Here are a few contenders for second son, although upon googling, some are semi-famous people and it’s turning me off a bit:

  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name] (loved this until I googled it, A. [name]Graham[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name] was a well-known theologian)

  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Elliot[/name] (the negative–this is a well known chef in Chicago area I think there’s even a restaurant?)

  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]August[/name] ([name]August[/name] is my husband’s birth month which is nice)

  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Jude[/name] (don’t love the 1 syllables together as much but both of our mothers are named [name]Judy[/name]/[name]Judith[/name] so I love the tie-in)

Any more suggestions? Would love your help!

[name]Graham[/name] [name]Elliott[/name] is a very cool and famous chef yes, and he has his own restaurant and does shows with [name]Gordon[/name] [name]Ramsey[/name]. Too bad because it makes a great combo :stuck_out_tongue: I don’t think it’s a huge deal since it’s a middle name and not First and Last.

I like [name]Graham[/name] [name]August[/name] from your combos. It’s handsome

[name]How[/name] about:

[name]Graham[/name] [name]William[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]Walker[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]Xavier[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]Warren[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]Lewis[/name]
[name]Graham[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name]

I think [name]Graham[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name] can be let go of - the M’s also bump.
I wasn’t aware of [name]Graham[/name] [name]Elliott[/name] and they sound nice together, but [name]Graham[/name] [name]Everett[/name] and [name]Graham[/name] [name]Eli[/name]/[name]Graham[/name] [name]Elias[/name] might be good substitutes?

[name]Graham[/name] [name]August[/name] is cool and I like the tie in to your husband.

I think [name]Graham[/name] [name]Jude[/name] sounds great and I love the tie ins to family but if the 1-1 thing ([name]Graham[/name] is more like 1.5 syllables for me) bothers you, what about [name]Graham[/name] [name]Judah[/name]? That’s also really nice.

Good luck!

I vote for [name]Graham[/name] [name]Elliot[/name]! (BTW I am somewhat of a food person, and have never heard of the chef.)

My vote is for [name]Graham[/name] [name]August[/name]! It’s so distinguished sounding. I liked [name]Elliot[/name] until my mom told me of some movie she watched where a character says [name]Elliot[/name] is “a fat kid who eats paste”. That’s all I can think of now.

[name]Graham[/name] [name]Elliot[/name]

I love [name]Graham[/name] [name]Elliot[/name]! I’m a huge Masterchef fan, I watched both seasons, and it even took me a few moments to put two and two together. I don’t think you have to worry about many people making that connection.

It depends on how you are pronouncing [name]Graham[/name]. [name]GRAY[/name]-əm or [name]GRAM[/name].

With [name]GRAY[/name]-əm I prefer:

  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]August[/name]
  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Jude[/name]
  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Earnest[/name]
  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Erich[/name]

With [name]GRAM[/name] I prefer:

  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Elliot[/name]
  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Maxwell[/name]
  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
  • [name]Graham[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name]

I love nameberry. Thanks for the great responses!

To answer the question about how I pronounce it, I’d say I’m somewhere in the middle…[name]Gram[/name] with a slight extra “a” sound added in there. Not full-blown 2-syllable [name]GRAY[/name]-[name]EM[/name].

I’m still feeling [name]Graham[/name] [name]August[/name]. Also love [name]Graham[/name] [name]Oliver[/name] but my husband has always had issue with [name]Oliver[/name] for whatever reason. Still love the idea of using [name]Jude[/name] as well. [name]Graham[/name] [name]Judah[/name] is a suggestion I hadn’t really thought of and I’ll have to ponder that a little more–has a nice sound. Anyway, thanks again for the help!
