Hello! Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and feedback so far. We’re almost decided on a name for [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and Fern’s little brother! Any suggestions on a middle name that works well with [name_m]Heath[/name_m]?
Things we’re thinking about (though none of these are musts!)
a “j” name would be cool as an honor name, but we’re not committed to this. We’re considering [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] as [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] was also on our list, but don’t know if I love it.
our daughters both have middle names derived from [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m], which is just a fun coincidence, but most of the boys names are too elaborate for my tastes and don’t go well with our long last name. I love [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Arden[/name_u] but DH isn’t convinced.
we would love a subtle nature name, but many seem like too much with [name_m]Heath[/name_m] also being naturey.
no “R” names as they don’t work with our last name
Any other suggestions? Ultimately, we’re fine just using a name we like that flows well!
I took those from an article that had a list of names of Shakespearean characters, as I have personally only ever read “Hamlet” and “Romeo and Juliet”. I like [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Paris[/name_u] although I know [name_u]Paris[/name_u] wasn’t extactly the most relatable character in his play.
Nature-related (those are from my own list of middles so they might be quite “extra”)
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Meridian[/name_u]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Horizon[/name_u]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_m]Carnelian[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_m]Petrichor[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Campion[/name_u]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Oleander[/name_u]
Congrats on finding your boy’s first name! [name_m]Heath[/name_m] is wonderful with [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f]
For a J + Shakespeare-related option, [name_m]Heath[/name_m] Julian/Julius is kind of cool?
For something very subtly nature oriented, maybe something like [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_m]Daley[/name_m] or [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u]. Something oriented more towards seasons and natural cycles might be less hard hitting than doing a nature noun like [name_u]River[/name_u] or [name_u]Dale[/name_u], [name_m]Clayton[/name_m] etc. Best wishes for finding the perfect name for you!
Thank you! I really like [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] and [name_u]Larkin[/name_u]. [name_u]Lark[/name_u] was on our short list if this baby was a girl!
Thank you! We talked about [name_u]Julian[/name_u], but then I forgot about it! That needs to go back on the list. I also like [name_u]August[/name_u] for this summer baby.
I like so many of these. Lots of [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] suggestions! I love it. DH was not super into it last time I mentioned it, but I will try to work on him.
