hey, i’m looking for a middle name for iris. we have our boy name all picked out. i prefer one syllable, three maybe, but i really prefer one syllable. [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is a family name, my father, brother, uncle etc all have it for a middle. these are my ideas so far.
[name_u]Gray[/name_u]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Scout[/name_u]
[name_u]Sky[/name_u]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Pax[/name_u]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Ora[/name_f]
[name_f]Aura[/name_f]
[name_f]Vi[/name_f]
any other ideas, one’s you prefer? we have a daughter, elsa howe if you wonder my style.
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] are perfect together! : D
[name_u]Gray[/name_u] - I understand the appeal, but I’d save it for a boy. It’s used for boys in your family, and if you didn’t use it with [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], why do so with [name_f]Iris[/name_f]?
[name_f]Lark[/name_f] - It’s a lot of nature, but it works. I like the sound, a la [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f], which is some celebrity or other’s baby. Good flow.
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] - too much plant
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] - too much plant
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - I like it, initials IQ could be good/funny/neutral.
[name_u]Scout[/name_u] - the S’s flow into each other, I don’t care for it
[name_u]Sky[/name_u] - same as [name_u]Scout[/name_u]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - too much flower
[name_u]Pax[/name_u] - this is nice as names go, kind of hissy with s and x at ends though, and initials IP could be good/neutral/funny/bad
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] - too masculine for me,
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] - sounds really nice with [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - also works really well, I prefer [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] but this is good.
[name_f]Ora[/name_f] - 2-2 isn’t the best rhythm and it sort of sounds like a kind of dinosaur after [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Aura[/name_f] - same as [name_f]Ora[/name_f]
[name_f]Vi[/name_f] - this is kind of confusing
I like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] & [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] from your list.
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f] [name_m]Howe[/name_m] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] are perfect together. [name_m]Both[/name_m] fn’s are feminine and both middles are tomboyish and both flow nicely.
