I can completely see the appeal in [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and even though she is a popular choice I think if you love her you shouldn’t let popularity deter you. Also names really aren’t as popular as they were when we were at school due to the wide range of names in use nowadays. The likelihood is [name_f]Isla[/name_f] will not be [name_f]Isla[/name_f] C or whatever she may share her name with someone else in her school but most likely not the same class.
If popularity is a worry for you maybe consider [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] she feels like a quirkier [name_f]Isla[/name_f] sharing a similar modern sound she also has the meanings ‘oak tree, halo or moonlight’ which are pretty. I also think [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] sounds great with the middle names shortlist.

Honestly I’m a massive fan of alliteration my daughter middle names both begin with an ‘e’ and I love how the repeated e sounds really melodic. So personally I wouldn’t worry about the double c sound especially if there isn’t any other strong repeated sounds within the first name surname. For example [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_m]Crawford[/name_m] or [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_u]Cohen[/name_u] works but [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_m]Cash[/name_m] I think because of the a & s sound just is too repetitive therefore doesn’t work. I prefer [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] she’s just unexpected and has a sweet vintage vibe. However I think to decide between [name_f]Isla[/name_f] & [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] maybe make a pros & cons list for each name, try the name out refer to your baby as [name_f]Isla[/name_f] or [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] see which one clicks or alternatively take both names to delivery room and see which one works.
