Middle Name for Kian

We’re 99% sure that if it’s a boy, we’ll be naming him [name]Kian[/name] (pronounced KEE-in).

Gaelic= ancient; from an ancient family (original spelling= [name]Cian[/name]) / Persian= benevolent king; king of the kings (original spelling= Kiyan) / Arabic= soul; essence

(these 3 meanings I was able to confirm— possible meanings in Greek/Hebrew/Swahili/Celtic/Old English), plus his Chinese name will have a very similar pronunciation and is a combination of the characters for ‘prayer’ and ‘sun’ (he’ll be 1/2 Chinese, we live in [name]China[/name], he’ll likely grow up here most of his childhood).
It’s the first name both of us have been equally excited about.

Now we’re looking at MN’s. Here are a few we’re thinking about. What do you think? Any other options you can also think of? Some of these have family connections, we haven’t yet decided how important a family connection is gonna be for our MN choice (The first 4 have family connections)

Or if you know of any other names that have a good flow together with the first and last name, or that mean something related to ‘sun’ or ‘prayer’ (to help connect with what his Chinese name means), or something related to ‘dragons’ since he’ll be born at the foot of [name]Jade[/name] Dragon [name]Snow[/name] Mountain. Any spiritual, cultural, country origin is fine by us.

[name]How[/name] about
Tigernach (I think this name’s got an excellent sound, enough bite to stand up to [name]Kian[/name] and [name]Luckie[/name]. It’s an Irish saint’s name, from the word “tigern,” meaning “lord.” Could be a neat reference to [name]Tiger[/name] Leaping [name]Gorge[/name], between your mountain and Haba. I’m sure you know the story about the tiger leaping across the river to escape a hunter.

[name]Luckie[/name] is actually almost our family name, has the same general sound, just a wee bit different.
I’m super happy someone else likes some of the less common MNs. Though I’m a bit worried about the ending sound of [name]Kian[/name] and the ending sound of [name]Arun[/name] and [name]Aroon[/name] being the same. Makes me feel they might not flow together as well.
From your post I get the impression that you have been to Lijiang before, is this true?
I’ll keep Tigernach in mind, it’s intense. Though might be more likely if our son was gonna be born in the year of the [name]Tiger[/name]. Our first one was, but this one will be born in the year of the snake, and I don’t really want a name that refers to a snake.
