[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I have been slowly perfecting my name list as I will be TTC in a few months. [name_f]Leah[/name_f] is my number 1 name and has been top of my list for awhile! I am torn between middle names. I know I don’t want two middle names, but I also don’t know who to honour - pretty much between two people. Whoever I don’t honour this time around I would honour next time around.
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] - This would honour my sister.
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] - Letter ‘F’ is the same middle initial as somebody very important to me.
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Karolina[/name_f] - Letter ‘K’ initial and similar sounds to the same above very important person to me. Plus, honours [name_m]German[/name_m] heritage.
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Karoline[/name_f] - Letter ‘K’ initial and similar sounds to the same above very important person to me. Plus, honours [name_m]German[/name_m] heritage.
[name_f]My[/name_f] reservations only with using the letter ‘K’ middles is currently I am planning only for 3 kids, if any of the three happened to be male, I would want to honour that important person to me by using their actual name. Would it be weird for potentionally 2 out of 3 kids to have middle names starting with ‘K’ to honour the same person? Makes me think I should use the letter ‘F’ to honour perhaps? But, I know I would have regret if I didn’t use the ‘K’ letter honour if I only had 3 girls.
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] is charming and warm! [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] is elegant and sweet too!
I’d say, if you’re planning to have three kids, maybe save the K middle for baby 2/3 who might be a boy? You could then still use Karoline/a on another girl too
I love the name [name_f]Leah[/name_f]! It think it’s such a beautiful and classic name. I’m always surprised it doesn’t get used more often.
I like [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilie[/name_f]. It sounds like you want to save the K letter for potential future children, so I say save it for that. Honoring your sister sounds very sweet and I’m sure she would be honored.
i would not use either K names for now in case you do end up having a boy. if you have two daughters first, you could save the K names and if your third is a boy, use the actual K name and if it’s a girl, use Karoline/a? i hope that makes sense. basically, save Karoline/a for a son, but if you have no sons, use it for your last daughter. that’s what i would do!
i think Leah Faith is really nice and i prefer it to Leah Emilie
I think [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] is the winner here. It very clearly honors one person, without the stretch of the initial being the tie to that person. It also doesn’t give you the issue of double-honoring someone if you had a boy in the future.
I just want to say I love [name_f]Leah[/name_f]! All the names are beautiful, and I can clearly see how special they are to you. But [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] is simple and classy, so I think it is my favorite.
