Middle name for London

I know it doesn’t fit the popular styles around here right now, but DH and I have found ourselves quite fond of the name [name_u]London[/name_u] for a little girl and I’m hoping my fellow Berries might be able to help us find a good middle name. We’ve tried both [name_u]London[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] (dislike back to back N sound) and [name_u]London[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (too noun-y perhaps?), but neither seem just right.

Any suggestions? Our style is quite varied, so we’re pretty open to any style of name except kre8tiv spellings and another unisex name as [name_u]London[/name_u] can already go either way.

Go all out British with [name_u]London[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or better yet, [name_u]London[/name_u] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f].

Sorry, but [name_u]London[/name_u] only conjures up images of Big [name_m]Ben[/name_m] for me. There’s nothing feminine or pretty about [name_u]London[/name_u]…it’s kind of boring…

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I’ll have to go back through them all again, but on first read through I really like [name_f]Amara[/name_f], [name_f]Alana[/name_f], and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]. Three syllable names seem to work best.

@susette: I didn’t ask for opinions on [name_u]London[/name_u]. I really don’t care how you or anyone else feels about it. It matters what my husband and I think. I only asked politely for middle name suggestions, not snarky suggestions because you don’t like the name and I’m tired of people offering unsolicited opinions when they weren’t asked for, especially when they have nothing to offer but negativity. Thanks anyway, though.

I find [name_u]London[/name_u] (the city) very pretty - low rise, quaint, with secret lanes and mews, and garden-filled! (Used to live there.)

I associate the name with some of the touristy imagery but mostly see it as a confident, arty name like [name_u]Holland[/name_u] or for a boy, [name_m]Boston[/name_m]. It’s less clearly feminine a sound than [name_f]Siena[/name_f] or [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], but I think it’s cool and like it with a lot of the suggested names (esp [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u]/e, which slows down the name so nicely, but it also goes with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] or [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] or a name with similar 3-syllable, fast rhythm.)

Whoops, sorry, just trying to counter balance the last comment! Good luck with your mn choice!

@eloiset: I appreciate the intent behind your comment even though I wasn’t looking for opinions of [name_u]London[/name_u]. [name_u]London[/name_u] is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea and since I already know that, I didn’t need to ask for opinions. Haha Thanks for the insight in regards to the middle name. I agree that a three syllable name works well. I love the sound of [name_u]London[/name_u] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u], but [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] is all male to me. Makes me think of [name_m]Upton[/name_m] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] and [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] [name_m]Lewis[/name_m].
