Middle name for Louisa

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I thought we were out of the woods with an easy time agreeing on [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], but the middle name isn’t coming as easily. We think we’ve narrowed it down to two, but I’m open to suggestions!

His pick- [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]
Pros: It sounds great with our last name (two syllable R name)
Cons: He only loves it because of a book character (can get over this because I like the book)
We plan on using [name_u]Issa[/name_u] as a nn, but [name_u]Issa[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] is already a famous actress. If we only call her [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] or [name_u]Issa[/name_u] (without the middle name) this isn’t a problem but it does irk me. I still lo e the sound of it though, and I haven’t given my husband a lot of baby decisions.

[name_f]My[/name_f] pick- [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f]
Pros: I like the sophisticated sound and that it’s more unusual. I got the idea from a great aunt, but we aren’t really into to family/honor names, I just liked it.
Cons: It doesn’t have the same ring to it when all together with our last name.

I think I’m agonizing way too much over this, as most of us don’t even use our middle names regularly, but here we are…

I do prefer [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] -it has a nice ring and i haven’t personally heard of the actress

How about

Louisa [name_u]Ren[/name_u]/Louisa [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u]

Louisa [name_u]Rae[/name_u] has the best flow and is beautiful! I don’t think people will make the association with the actress. [name_u]Issa[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] is lovely!

Louisa is a wonderful name and that’s the biggest thing.

Either middle seems fine. I’m not a fan or [name_u]Ray[/name_u] or [name_u]Rae[/name_u] and I love love love [name_f]Irene[/name_f] so I’m biased.

Of course [name_u]Rae[/name_u] could be a nn for [name_f]Irene[/name_f] so if you named her [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] or [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Irena[/name_f], your husband could call her [name_u]Rae[/name_u] as a pet name.

Good luck!

I volunteered [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as option too! Husband shot it down, unfortunately.

If you are using [name_u]Issa[/name_u] as a nickname, the [name_u]Issa[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] association would bother me (since it’s an unusual name I feel that makes the association stronger). I like the suggestions of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f]! [name_f]Irene[/name_f] is nice too, but if the name isn’t meaningful I would want it to flow well with the last name.

Louisa [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] – [name_u]Issa[/name_u] [name_u]Rue[/name_u]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Lane[/name_u]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]

Louisa [name_u]Rae[/name_u], definitely, it flows so much better.
