We’ve decided to name our first little girl [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], nn [name_f]Mila[/name_f]
BUT- we can’t decide on a middle name!
We are happy, earthy people- so I’d like to pull that in a bit. Or maybe a family name. I also like double middle names. I just dont know!!!
So far we have:
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is my all time favourite, and [name_f]Mila[/name_f]/[name_f]Mila[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is adorable. It feels like a happy, earthy name too… Maybe [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]?
From your list, I do like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], and there is something about [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] that has me swooning.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is my [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] combo, so of course I vote for that! [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] would be my runner up.
I would love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but I’m not totally feeling the double middles. I like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] a lot, but I think the happiest sounding combos are [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] and [name_u]Sage[/name_u] also work nicely for the nature connection. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is on my list.
Some more ideas: [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Sparrow[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Starling[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]…
The more I’m thinking about it though, [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] really exudes joy. Good luck!
I like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] best, and like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] better than [name_u]Sage[/name_u]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Joy[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f]. One thing about hyphens, though–you might have trouble with them in government forms depending on where you live, so I suggest to check first to see if they work in your country.
Great suggestions! Thank you so much for your input!
The most popular seem to be [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. The combo names didnt seem to go over well. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is so Italian- we’re not at all Italian. Does that matter? I think its a very nice combo, and I like the meaning.
DH likes [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
AHhh this is such a hard decision!
