I think I really like [name]Samuel[/name] as a first name for our baby boy. We have thrown around some possible middles and I wanted to get opinions on them. WDYT of these, and please let me know if you can think of any others that would sound nice! We are not fond of overly trendy names, but I would love to have something slightly unusual.
Thanks for all the replies! I have one question, though. [name]How[/name] would you pronounce [name]Elias[/name]? Is it like [name]Eli[/name]? [name]Eli[/name]-as or is it EE-lee-as?
I like how it looks and the meaning, but I guess it can be pronounced either way. Which would you consider correct?
Thanks I really like a lot of these suggestions. I am going for a serene, yet modern sound. [name]Pleasant[/name], with the times, but not trendy.
I really like these from your comments and my top choices are:
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Grayson[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Elias[/name] (probably my favorite although I still stumble over trying to decide how to say it.)
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Gardener[/name] (I love the feel of this one, but like someone else mentioned it’s very close to [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Garner[/name] Affleck’s name)
[name]Samuel[/name] Thackerey
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Magnus[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Sterling[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Granger[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]August[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Jonas[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] [name]Atticus[/name] (is interesting but not too crazy about how it’s becoming too trendy/cool)
Another one I really like is [name]River[/name]. [name]Samuel[/name] [name]River[/name]. I’m not sure if it’s too much since our last name is sort of nature-sounding already (pronounced wolf) … I’m also not sure if it sounds a bit too hippy. [name]River[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] would probably flow better but [name]River[/name] [name]Wolf[/name] makes a bad name.
