I’m searching for a middle name for [name]Sloane[/name] that starts with an A. My ideal (if my husband agrees) is to name our baby girl after my two grandmothers ([name]Sylvia[/name] and [name]Anne[/name]), but initials only (S and A). I’d like a name that is more than one syllable (since [name]Sloane[/name] is only one syllable). Our last name is two syllables.
I’m liking [name]Alexandra[/name], [name]Alexis[/name], [name]Alexa[/name]… Maybe [name]Amelia[/name]… But I would prefer something old fashioned or even traditional. My little boy is [name]Miles[/name] [name]Walter[/name] and I want it to work with that as well.
[name]Sloan[/name] (S or A) (2 syllable surname). Off the top of my head, I think of [name]Adrienne[/name] and [name]Annabel[/name]. I’d definitely go with a 3 syllable middle name to keep the syllable count differing and more importantly interesting (1-3-?) or at least two to vary from the short first name. Why don’t you do a Super Search of A names with 2 or 3 syllables? You can narrow it down by Origin to give a nod your or your partner’s cultural heritage.
I like [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name] (I like [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Alexandria[/name] better) as well as [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Amelia[/name].
[name]Sloane[/name] [name]Anastasia[/name] or [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Annunciata[/name] might be nice, and I second [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] to go with [name]Miles[/name] [name]Walter[/name] - those too would be perfect together! Good luck.
Many great ones have already been listed but how 'bout [name]Sloane[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]?? Pretty unexpected in the middle, I think, and very traditional
