I have been posting on here for about 2 years and I’m finally on a serious count down to TTC (about 2 months to go :D) Because of my renewed excitement I am, of course, revisiting naming options. I know I have always gotten mixed reactions on the FN [name]Sunday[/name] here. But for today let’s say I am for sure going with [name]Sunday[/name] as a girls first name.
I initially paired [name]Sunday[/name] with [name]Kate[/name] and (with a few exceptions of some thinking it was to much /a/ sound) it was always the favorite.
However, I am a teacher who just happens to have a [name]Cate[/name] in my class this year who has definitely worn the name out for me (and not bc of my songs of praise, lol).
Sooo if I were to let [name]Kate[/name] go does anyone have a good replacement? I liked that [name]Kate[/name] was familar but not a top charter. I liked that it was one syllabel because it could serve as an easy double name if I decided to do that. But it does not have to be one syllabel.
I have thought about [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Harper[/name], me and my husband love the name harper and he is on board with this combo-but it may be too uncommon to pair with [name]Sunday[/name]?
I’ve heard of a [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] but husband doesnt love [name]Quinn[/name].
Im open to ideas! Thanks for sharing in advance and helping me be even more excited as the countdown ticks on!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Sunday[/name], here are some other options…
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Beth[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Marie[/name] (I know [name]Marie[/name] is a ‘filler’ but I think paired w/ [name]Sunday[/name] it works well)
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Brooke[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Lark[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]True[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Bliss[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
I think it’s best to avoid other noun names as a middle to [name]Sunday[/name], and you’re right to pair it with a more familiar name. [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is a great option if [name]Kate[/name] is out, has that same hard C that sounds nice with softer [name]Sunday[/name].
[name]Just[/name] hearing some love towards [name]Sunday[/name] makes me so happy! I have had my heart set on it for a few years, but mostly get negative reactions (but it’s one of those that I can’t let go of- just love it too much)
I like the suggestion of [name]Lane[/name] (my middle name is [name]Alane[/name]) but my cousin just named her son lane.
I like [name]Jane[/name] as well… just not sure if it flows well with all 3 names.
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Lucille[/name], a precious little girl at my church is named [name]Lucille[/name] and shes so gorgeous I cant help but to love the name
I like the hard C of [name]Claire[/name] as well just not sure I want to use my [name]SIL[/name]'s middle name for my baby.
Thank you so much for all of the lovely suggestions! Keep them coming if you think of any others!
What do you think about these?
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Harper[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Monroe[/name]
[name]Sunday[/name] McLane
[name]Sunday[/name] [name]Willa[/name]?
I fell in love with the name when [name]Nicole[/name] Kidman named her daughter [name]Sunday[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. No other middle name for it has beat [name]Rose[/name] yet.
