Hit me up with all of your optimistic, hopeful, strong middle names to go with [name_f]Willow[/name_f]. Bonus points if it also happens to be a strong older name to help balance out the plant/slightly hippie first name choice.
Here are some we are considering, but would like some fresh inspiration:
[name_f]Sister[/name_f] to [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m], [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f], and [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is perfect - it looks and sounds gorgeous. Not keen on [name_f]Hope[/name_f] or [name_f]Glory[/name_f] as that’s two word names together. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is okay a bit of a tongue twister to say, and nowhere near as gorgeous as [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
I personally [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] was actually a great-grandmother’s name. (With the Italian pronunciation- Loo-chee-ah.) However, my husband feels it’s too ethnic and isn’t willing to go here. That’s why we are considering [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. (Our last name is Zieger, pronounced [name_f]ZEE[/name_f]-ger- how does that sound all together to you?)
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] was another that I liked. I also enjoy [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]- too planty though, perhaps? (My 8 year old desperately wants us to name her [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]!)
I love [name_f]Willow[/name_f]! I’ve always been partial to [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] (which is rather old-timey!), but I was just thinking [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] would be really lovely, too.
What about:
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] (means “hope”, but also feels a bit timeless to me?)
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Aislinn[/name_f]/[name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Aisling[/name_f] (means “dream”, which seems pretty optimistic to me!)
I’m a wee bit sleep deprived and that’s about all I’ve got for now lol. I really love the idea of [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], though–one of its meanings is “she who brings happiness”, which I think is darling, and I just love the juxtaposition of naturey [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and historic [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f].
