Middle name for Zo”

Hello there,

Father-to-be and I really like the name [name]Zo[/name]” for our daughter. His mother’s name was [name]Eva[/name], and since both names mean the same thing, it gives the name a family origin without repeating the name itself. Well, at least that’s how we feel.

What do you think of [name]Zo[/name]”? Last name is Fernandez (fer-[name]NAN[/name]-des).

Our biggest issue deciding on a middle name. We would like to be a Hispanic name.

So far we’ve thought about:

[name]Zo[/name]” [name]Lucia[/name]
[name]Zo[/name]” [name]Natalia[/name]
[name]Zo[/name]” [name]Maria[/name]
[name]Zo[/name]” [name]Rocio[/name] (ro-SEEH-o)
[name]Zo[/name]” [name]Marisol[/name]
[name]Zo[/name]” [name]Teresa[/name]

Any feedback or suggestions?

Thanks!

I’ve never liked [name]Zo[/name]”, but as long as you like it then go for it  I like the familial connection, it’s a interesting way to honour her.

I adore [name]Zo[/name]” [name]Lucia[/name] Fernandez and [name]Zo[/name]” [name]Marisol[/name] Fernandez! Such pretty middle names.

I love [name]Zo[/name]”! The only problem I can see with it is that you’ve opted for an umlaut- I don’t expect anyone ever get it right in an English speaking country. If you’re okay with it being spelled [name]Zoe[/name], which will happen a lot, go for it. My favorite combos are [name]Zo[/name]” [name]Natalia[/name] and [name]Zo[/name]” [name]Teresa[/name].

Another vote for [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Marisol[/name]!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Love[/name] [name]Marisol[/name]… never thought of them together but that gets my vote! Other choices I like with [name]Zoe[/name] are [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Pearl[/name]. But [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Marisol[/name] sounds good and looks so good together too!

[name]Just[/name] adding, I don’t think the umlaut is too much of a problem at all. I live in the UK, I knew a [name]Zo[/name]” in primary school and two [name]Zo[/name]”'s in secondary school, as well as a Chlo” in secondary school. No one seemed to have problems with the umlaut, those are well known spellings after all.

My 2 favorites are [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Marisol[/name].

[name]Zoe[/name] is a wonderful choice! I like [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] best!

I like the name [name_u]Zo[/name_u]. The name [name_u]Zo[/name_u] has a strong meaning. I don’t think the o in [name_u]Zo[/name_u] needs a almaut. Unless you want to add one. The name [name_u]Jo[/name_u] is Pronounce just like it’s spelled unless you spell [name_u]Jo[/name_u] with an e. Than [name_u]Joe[/name_u] is pronounce [name_u]Joey[/name_u].
