hi ladies. i have a son, beckett reed. if the next LO is a boy, his mn will be peter/pete after my grandfather. we’re at a creative road block with boy names…can you help us out??? only requirements are that the mn is peter/pete and the name goes with beckett. just an idea of some other boy names we like: anderson, milo, oliver, sullivan (but none really seem to go well with peter/pete)
oh, i guess i should mention our last name ends in an -er sound. so most names ending in that same sound are out. (although oliver sounds ok with it for some reason).
[name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Peter[/name] is really cool.
[name]Oliver[/name] [name]Peter[/name] plus your last name ending in “er” - that’s too much “er”.
Other ideas:
[name]Alfred[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Carsten[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Clayton[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Peter[/name] nn [name]Cole[/name], [name]Nico[/name]
[name]Owen[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Don[/name]'t use a first name that begins with “P”, or you’ll have that pee pee sound. Not good.
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Stellan[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Vincent[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
you think sullivan peter sounds ok? my husband loves oliver. so we were thinking possibly oliver pete? or perkin apparently “little peter”. so maybe oliver perkin?
i [name]LOVE[/name] dashiell and rowan. i wish i could convince the hubby to love them as much! i tend to like more nature inspired or literary names myself.
[name]Oliver[/name] [name]Pete[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Perkin[/name] are adorable.
What about [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Pete[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Perkin[/name]?
i don’t like the nn theo. which is keeping me from liking theodore. but i love thaddeus. just wish i could get DH on board…he only likes oliver! which i like too, i just wish it wasn’t quite as popular since beckett is still a fairly uncommon name.
I looked up [name]Beckett[/name] on check out a name - the box to the left. There is a hot list that has [name]Beckett[/name]. It’s called Names All Your Friends [name]Will[/name] Think Are Cool. I found the following names on the list and I’m adding [name]Peter[/name] or [name]Pete[/name] to them.
Also thought of
[name]Finnian[/name] [name]Pete[/name]
[name]Finnian[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Pete[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Orlando[/name] [name]Pete[/name]
I still love [name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Peter[/name] or [name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Pete[/name].

DH likes sullivan. we had sullivan james paired together (james for me, jamie) but i would really like to honor my grandfather who just got diagnosed with cancer. the more i say it together, the more i like sullivan peter together. and i think oliver perkin is super cute (its just not an obvious connection between peter/perkin). i’m bummed we have relatives/friends with the names hudson, finn, and nathaniel already =(
I’m very sorry about your grandfather. Have you considered [name]Peterson[/name] or [name]Pierce[/name] as middle names to honor him? ([name]Pierce[/name] is a variation of [name]Peter[/name], as is [name]Pierson[/name].)
[name]Beckett[/name] and…
[name]Anderson[/name] [name]Pierce[/name]
[name]Calvin[/name] [name]Peter[/name]
[name]Conrad[/name] [name]Peterson[/name]
[name]Donovan[/name] [name]Pierce[/name]

[name]Pierson[/name] (as a first name)

[name]Quinlan[/name] [name]Pierce[/name]
[name]Rafferty[/name] [name]Pierson[/name]/[name]Pierce[/name]/[name]Pete[/name]

[name]Truman[/name] [name]Pierce[/name]
[name]Xavier[/name] [name]Pete[/name]/[name]Pierce[/name]
i love all your names jill!! i wish DH was a bit more adventurous in his baby naming =) i wanted to use piers as a mn, but DH hates it. he did say tonight he likes peter as a fn now. i like peter hawthorne (get my literary/nature name in!). but i don’t know if beckett and peter really go together…
i like:
anderson piers
calvin peter
harrison peter
jude peterson
milo peterson
oliver pete
peter hawthorne
sullivan peter
oh, and i found a new name DH will consider…cullen peter? (my maiden names sounds very close to cullen, wonder if that would be weird?)
Since [name]Peter[/name] is my favorite boy’s name, I love it with almost any other name. [name]Cullen[/name] is a handsome name, and I think that it’s special that it sounds like your maiden name.
You’re welcome! I love the name [name]Peter[/name], and I can see [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Peter[/name] as brothers. I really like [name]Cullen[/name], too, and think it’s meaningful, not weird, that it’s similar to your maiden name.
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Augustin[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Donovan[/name] (something sounds a bit off, though)
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] (Oops! He’s a singer…)
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Samuel[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] ([name]Susan[/name]'s son’s name…and to me, the best [name]Peter[/name] combo ever)
Yay! I’m glad you love [name]Peter[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]Jill[/name]! You know that years ago I went through the whole boy’s section of a baby name book to find a middle name to go with [name]Peter[/name]. It took quite a while since [name]Sebastian[/name] starts with an “s”…
[name]Susan[/name], yes, I absolutely [name]LOVE[/name] your son’s name! I hope you didn’t mind me suggesting it, but I could resist. I think that your [name]Peter[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] combo is pure genius! (And I hope you know that I love [name]Laura[/name], too. If I didn’t have a cousin named [name]Laura[/name], I’d totally use [name]Laura[/name]!)
Thank you, [name]Jill[/name]! One of my fave names besides [name]Laura[/name] is [name]Caroline[/name] nn [name]Callie[/name] or [name]Calla[/name]. So [name]Rollo[/name], I love your name so much! Also love the name [name]Jill[/name]. Also love [name]Eliza[/name]. It’s brilliant.
Anyone feel free to use [name]Peter[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name]. He is already almost 24, so there wouldn’t be any competition. I love the way there are “t’s” in both names. I love the letter “t”, because it is very crisp and reminds me of a mast on a ship which I have already pointed out in the past.
