Middle name suggestions

[name]Hi[/name] Berries,

Hubby and I like [name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] for a little girl but I’m worried its a bit short. Our surname is [name]Miller[/name]

[name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] [name]Miller[/name] is lovely but seems a little unsubstantial?

Hubby has 2 syllable 1st and 3 syllable middle

I have a 3 syllable 1st and no middle

[name]Do[/name] you think the name is enough as is? [name]Do[/name] you like it?
[name]Do[/name] you think we should add a second middle? If so what would you suggest?
I’m thinking that maybe a longer 2nd middle may help?

It is short, but I like it. I think you should leave it as is. I like the way it feels light and airy. A second middle name would distract from the beauty of these two names.

Any other thoughts?

I like it as is. The names are short, but I don’t think it sounds unsubstantial at all. The names themselves, their style, has substance.

Totally okay. I agree that second middle name would distract the beauty. If you still want a longer name, I think changing [name]Thea[/name] (and use it only as a nickname) can be a nice alternative. I mean something like [name]Althea[/name], [name]Theodora[/name], or [name]Theresa[/name] nn [name]Thea[/name].

[name]How[/name] are you pronouncing [name]Thea[/name]? I’m never sure how it is pronounced. In the UK the name [name]Tia[/name] is in the top 100 and that’s pronounced as Tee-uh.

[name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] isn’t my style, I’m not keen on them together. If pronounced Tee-uh it sounds like your saying three letters TFA, but if it’s Thee-uh then [name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] could be a bit of tongue twister and I don’t know if it’s just in the UK but some peope are pretty lazy when it comes to the ‘th’ sound and it often sounds like a ‘f’ so it could end up coming out as [name]Fee[/name]-uh [name]Fae[/name], which is odd.

I would prefer to see [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Fae[/name] [name]Miller[/name] personally.

I like [name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] together but I’d be tempted to put another name between them.

That’s just my style though, my daughter has [name]Faye[/name] as one of two middles and I like the way her other middle name complements it.

[name]Thea[/name] is so pretty, love it!

I don’t think it’s too short, as long as [name]Thea[/name] is pronounced Thee (like tree) - uh. I also love the suggestion of [name]Dorothea[/name] nn [name]Thea[/name].

[name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] (which I’m pronouncing in my head as [name]Thay[/name]-uh [name]Fae[/name]), is a bit rhymey for my tastes, and does feel very abrupt. [name]Even[/name] [name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] pronounced Thee-uh [name]Fae[/name] is a bit too close as far as the aural quality. That said, I don’t favour a second middle. It would feel a bit tacked down in this case. [name]How[/name] about replacing [name]Fae[/name] with something longer, or as PPs suggested, using [name]Thea[/name] as a nickname?

Otherwise, I must say I do adore this name. It sounds very story-bookish, like a character from a folktale. Whimsical and sweet, but not silly or insubstantial. It’s very cute and spunky. I like it!

[name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] [name]Miller[/name] is definitely okay.

I like [name]Thea[/name], maybe with a longer middle. [name]Thea[/name] [name]Isadora[/name] is nice. I also love the suggestion of [name]Theadora[/name] nn [name]Thea[/name].

[name]Thea[/name] [name]Fae[/name] [name]Miller[/name] is lovely!
