Middle name to go with Canary? :p

I don’t know what it is about nature names, but I am loving bird names! …especially [name_f]Canary[/name_f] as a first name with the nn Nary. I think it’s a cute alternative to the so ever overused [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. No offense if you adore [name_f]Mary[/name_f], I just am not that crazy about it.

I can’t seem to find a middle name that I love! I kinda like [name_f]Canary[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]…but something just sounds off.

Any suggestions? Or do you have ideas for a first name that would flow nicely with [name_f]Canary[/name_f] in the place of the middle?

Also–
Does anyone happen to know what [name_f]Canary[/name_f] means? All I’ve found for a meaning is “bird name.” Haha. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thnx!

To be honest I think Canary bit too OTT. As for Mary being over-used for babies Mary isn’t over-used at all, when was the last time you met a baby named Mary? I don’t know a single Mary under 50.

But if you love Canary go for it!!

Here are some suggestions:
Canary Megan
Canary Elspeth
Canary Elizabeth
Canary Astrid
Canary Louise
Canary Rachel
Canary Simone
Canary Natalia

I think Canary Ingrid works.

First Name Ideas for [name_f]Canary[/name_f] as a Middle: note I personally wouldn’t use canary as a first name, I’d be afraid she would be teased, she may not like it as she gets older, I would only use it as a mn option…no offense.

…as in the cat that ate the canary? Personally, I think there are less teasable and more usable bird names out there ([name_f]Wren[/name_f] and [name_f]Lark[/name_f]). I think a more “mainstream” middle name is advisable if you decide to choose [name_f]Canary[/name_f] for a first name.

I cant help but to say bird after canary like a automatic reaction… just canary bird lol sorry

[name_f]Canary[/name_f] in the coal mine. Quite unfortunate.

Lol I know at least 12 [name_f]Mary[/name_f]'s…that I can think of off the top of my head. I dunno, it’s seemed overused to me for awhile simply because I know so many…and the different variants of it. I’ve gotten bored with the name, lol.

But anyways, I’m really liking [name_u]Simone[/name_u]. Funny it’s been a name I’ve been avoiding, but I’ve liked it since I was is middle school! I think I should hang onto this one, :stuck_out_tongue: really like how it sounds with [name_f]Canary[/name_f] also. Thanks!

Haha, the cat who-- lol. Gotta say I got a good laugh from that. Didn’t look at it that way.
Thanks for the suggestion…still not settled on a mainstream name to go with it. I like [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] and [name_u]Simone[/name_u]…but I’m so indecisive! Smh.

Too many bad associations w/canary and Nary, for that matter. What else have you got?

I would never forgive my parents for calling me [name_f]Canary[/name_f].

I think the whole word-name thing has gone a bit far…

[name_f]Canary[/name_f]? I hope all the kids are kind in her class when she goes to school.
