Middle Name to Honor Aunt Jennifer

[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl will be [name_f]Stella[/name_f] and her middle name needs to honor her aunt [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]. I don’t love the [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] at all so I’m looking for middle name ideas that can still honor her and flows well with [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. Feeling stuck!

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] could work - it’s very different but still has that ‘[name_f]Jen[/name_f]’ around and the v and f sound similar.

Maybe a bit of a stretch, but [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is pronounced like “[name_f]Emma[/name_f]-[name_f]Jenn[/name_f]”

Wdyt of:
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_u]Jensen[/name_u]

Or you could do the meaning of [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] “white shadow, white wave”
[name_f]Gwenore[/name_f]- same meaning
[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]- same meaning
[name_f]Gali[/name_f]- wave
[name_f]Morwenna[/name_f]- waves of the sea

You could also use her middle name or her birth stone or birth month.

[name_u]Penny[/name_u] goes with [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] (NN [name_f]Jenny[/name_f]), though I’m not sure if it goes with [name_f]Stella[/name_f].
You could also try [name_f]Jessica[/name_f].

[name_u]Genesis[/name_u]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]

All of those are a bit of a stretch for [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]. Sometimes you have to make the decision whether you’re going to bite the bullet and use a name you don’t love than honors someone or not. [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] is quite pretty - and as dated as it is, it works well as a MN and has a nice meaning.

[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] in other languages:

[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
Yenifer
[name_f]Jennie[/name_f]/[name_f]Jenny[/name_f]/[name_f]Jenni[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenna[/name_f]
Guenièvre
Jenifry

[name_f]Jenifry[/name_f], Gwenifer, [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], & [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] are all variants of the same name - [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] would be perfect! [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is such a beautiful combination!

I like [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] from [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] / [name_f]Gwenevere[/name_f] if your not set on [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]. It is a tough one.

I like [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].

I think with the first part [name_f]Gen[/name_f] sounding just like the shortened form of [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], [name_f]Jen[/name_f], you are fine with using it as an hour name. Also, the syllable count is the same. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] would be my choice.

I actually really like [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], but if you don’t, I think these are nice options:

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] ([name_u]LOVE[/name_u], and [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] is the Cornish form of [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], so it seems like a perfect honor to me!)
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jeanette[/name_f]/[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jenelle[/name_f] (I think [name_f]Janelle[/name_f]'s the original form of this name, but the first one I met was spelled like this, and I think it makes a good honor for a [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]!)

You might also work with her middle name? Or if she’s [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u], or [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f], or [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], why not something like [name_f]Stella[/name_f] Jennalie or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jenna[/name_f]-[name_f]Marie[/name_f] or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jenna[/name_f]-[name_u]Lynn[/name_u]? I think those would be rather sweet, too; [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jenna[/name_f] doesn’t work that great on its own.

There’s also these [name_f]Gen[/name_f]-type names:

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f] (love!)
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Geneva[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Genoveffa[/name_f] (EEP!)
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] (all the heart eyes!)
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] Genista
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] Gennadiya (Russian name, apparently, said like jyen-NAD-dee-ah. Sort of like [name_f]Jen[/name_f] + [name_f]Nadia[/name_f]? It means “noble/generous”)
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] Gentiana

I really love [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], [name_f]Genoveffa[/name_f]/[name_f]Genoveva[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], and [name_f]Jenelle[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is my favorite. It’s so beautiful! (Apparently [name_f]Jenelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] are also forms of [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]/[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f].) According to BtN, there’s also [name_f]Gaynor[/name_f]/[name_f]Gaenor[/name_f], a form of [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], but I’m not sure if that would appeal?

Good luck!

Rather than choosing a name that honours [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] perhaps her birth month is usable, e.g. [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_u]January[/name_u], etc. Or her birthstone or flower representing her birth month, e.g. Ruby, Iris, Rose?

My preference is to use an honor name in the same form as the honoree’s if it sounds decent with the rest of the name. [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] flows well, so I’d use it even if I didn’t love it. But if you can’t bring yourself to use [name_f]Jenifer[/name_f], what about simply [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jenn[/name_f]?
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] is lovely and I’m sure you’ll find something great!

I love [name_f]Stella[/name_f], it is a beautiful choice. Perhaps you could consider [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_u]Genesis[/name_u], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jeannette[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] Jenovia, or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] (that is probably a bit of a stretch, though! Haha)

Depending on the last name of the baby, I would go with [name_f]Stella Jenny[/name_f] or [name_f]Stella Jenn[/name_f].

BTW, if someone told me they selected their baby’s name to honor me and the only connection between my name and the baby’s was a couple of the same sounds, it would not strike me as an honor. Either use the name of the person you wish to honor or choose a name you love but don’t pretend selecting or [name_f]Stella Imogen[/name_f] honors [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] is pretty awesome! and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] J. would be a great signature. If it’s really not to your taste, my second choice would be [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f].

[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].

[name_f]Jen[/name_f]?
Or use [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]’s Middle name/maiden name if that works?

Another vote for [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] or [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Jen[/name_f]/[name_f]Jenn[/name_f].
