Middle names fit for an empress

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] Berries!

I have a huge list of names I like - I like very uncommon names, that read (to me) as strong and brave, but with a softness to them. In my head I call them “empress names”

I just can’t find middle names to go with them. When I combine them together they become overly dramatic and princessy, but filler names are too silly next to them. I just don’t know what to pair them with.

Names I like - ones marked * are honour names -

[name_f]Empress[/name_f] names: Nehalennia, [name_u]Cataleya[/name_u], [name_m]Romar[/name_m]í*, [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], Arsinoë, Elbereth, Firenze
Other names, recent crushes: [name_f]Angelou[/name_f], [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], Lemoni, Elbelin
Some names I’d love to honour: [name_f]Marina[/name_f] ([name_m]Romar[/name_m]í, [name_f]Octavia[/name_f]), [name_f]Pauline[/name_f] ([name_m]Romar[/name_m]í), [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] ([name_m]Romar[/name_m]í), [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_f]Marie[/name_f] ([name_m]Romar[/name_m]í), [name_m]Theodor[/name_m], [name_f]Johanna[/name_f], and my in laws who are from Hamburg (Elbereth, Elbelin) - [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_f]Barbara[/name_f].

Mostly I’m looking for a style that adds something special to my first names that are already quite heavy, without being too light in comparison!

Thank you in advance! Very curious to see your take!!

It would help a little if I knew what country you were from, because your signature screams European.
Biased opinion… But Arsinoë is my absolute favourite of all the names on here… ([name_f]Do[/name_f] you use the pronunciation R-sin-oh-wey, R-sin-oh-wee, or R-say-no-wee? I’ve heard them all. I’m doing this with the assumption that it’s the first because that’s pronunciation that I prefer/hear most)
Arsinoë [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] or Arsinoë [name_f]Angelou[/name_f] would be beautiful!

For “empress names” I’d suggest two middles… I like Arsinoë [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Joelle[/name_f] or Arsinoë [name_f]Hanna[/name_f]/[name_f]Hana[/name_f]/[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u].

Other ideas:
[name_u]Cataleya[/name_u] Elbereth Firenze
Elbelin Arsinoë [name_f]Farrah[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Elisabet/name_f [name_f]Anya[/name_f]
[name_f]Angelou[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] Romari
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] Arsinoë [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]
Lemoni [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_f]Solveig[/name_f]
Elbereth [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] [name_f]Angelou[/name_f]
Arsinoë [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] [name_u]Malin[/name_u]

I definitely understand your dilemma! I love “empress-y” names, too, but I find them most wearable in the middle to add some unexpectedness to a more common first name. I agree that putting two “empress” names together is too much, but pairing them with a filler middle is a bit of a let down.

Some combos using the names (or variations) you mentioned:

Nehalennia [name_f]Pauline[/name_f]
[name_u]Cataleya[/name_u] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]
Arsinoe [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] (Because [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] is the most familiar on your list, I think it actually works quite well as a not-too-out-there, yet not-too-boring middle.)
Romari [name_f]Michaela[/name_f]
Elbereth [name_f]Adriana[/name_f]
Firenze [name_m]Theodor/name_m

(I’m assuming Romari and Elbereth are meant to be girl names and Firenze a boy.)

And just going with my own ideas:

Nehalennia [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_u]Cataleya[/name_u] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmanuelle[/name_f]
Arsinoe [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
Romari [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
Elbereth [name_f]Regina[/name_f]
Firenze [name_m]Leopold[/name_m]
