One of my favourite girls’ names is [name_f]Leila[/name_f], however i’m having a really hard time finding a middle name for it and i’m wondering if you can help??
I prefer middle names to have significance. One of my favourite family names is [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], however while I feel the flow of [name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is nice, I feel like the styles are a bit of a mismatch so I don’t really like them together. Other family names include [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Maria[/name_f], [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Pauline[/name_f], [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Johanna[/name_f]. None of these sounds like the one to me, but I am open to variations on these names or other ideas altogether.
The last criteria is that the name can’t start with an I.
Thank you @erin beth. It’s hard for me to explain what I don’t love about [name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]. I think that [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (which I adore) is a bit too buttoned up for [name_f]Leila[/name_f], which I see as more of a free spirit sort of name.
And thank you for your suggestions, I am interested in [name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], I will add it to my list.
I agree [name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] sounds a little mismatched, although I don’t think it’s terrible. From your family names I like [name_f]Maria[/name_f] and [name_f]Pauline[/name_f] paired with [name_f]Leila[/name_f].
As a [name_f]Layla[/name_f], I feel the need to chime in and make some suggestions. My parents’ choice of spelling was obviously influenced by the [name_m]Eric[/name_m] Clapton song which I happen to love.
Thank you so much for the suggestions berries! I like quite a few of them i have added to my list:
[name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] (my favourite)
[name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] (though I am not sure this would pass the husband test!)
[name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Leila[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f]
@layla and the flowers, my husband is a musician and he is a big fan of [name_m]Jim[/name_m] [name_m]Gordon[/name_m], who is credited as having co-written the song [name_f]Layla[/name_f], so the name and sing are meaningful to us too
