[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
I’m having my first son in early [name_u]December[/name_u], so we are definitely down to the wire. My husband is ready to resign from the naming process because it’s been such a challenge the past few weeks. I thought the idea of using a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] name for him would be sweet since it’s our favorite time of year and they all have nice meanings. We went through the pros + cons of [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_m]Luke[/name_m], [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_u]Francis[/name_u], and [name_m]Christian[/name_m], all of which seemed to have more cons than pros. We like very traditional names to the point of them being boring, so when we’ve “googled” [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] names and have been given names like [name_m]Caspar[/name_m], [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m], [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m], etc. they are just way too out there for us. I’ve been bouncing these names around in my head for a few weeks and I think I’ve decided that [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] is just enough [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] and a dash of Irish (our heritage) that it works well for us!
I’d still like something classic for his middle name but not quite as expected as something like [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. I’d really appreciate suggestions so I can wrap up this naming process and relax until baby [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] arrives! Our last name is [name_u]Murphy[/name_u], and DD1 is [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and DD2 is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
Thanks a ton!
