Middle names for Ray?

This has been a tough combo for me! Typically, i would prefer to use family names for MN but most of ours are one syllable and don’t go with [name_u]Ray[/name_u]. Here are a few I came up with but nothing I love:

[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] (family name)
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] (meaningless but I like)
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] (does that even go?)
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Fielder[/name_m] (last name starts with F tho…)
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] (boring)

Any more ideas? List any that come to mind! I like recogzineable, somewhat classic names that are not popular.

Thanks!

A little bump! Any ideas nameberries?

I like [name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. Suggestions:

[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]

I agree that Ray Alexander sounds good I also like Ray Matthew. I think that because Ray is a short name a 3 syllable middle sounds good. But if you are still unsure…

I liked the name Emre [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] as a possibility for my son. Emre is pronounced [name_f]EM[/name_f]-[name_u]RAY[/name_u] so if you drop the first syllable it is pronounced the same as the name [name_u]Ray[/name_u]. The problem with [name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] however is that it may be to much alliteration! Because of that I would suggest other names that end in el. Off the top of my head that could be [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] or [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]. I don’t know if any of those are your style as they may not be everyone’s cuppa tea.

Another suggestion might be to consider a full version of [name_u]Ray[/name_u] like [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] see if that works with anything you like. My grandad was [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] sound good [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

Thank you. All our boys have one syllable first names or I’d consider a longer version of [name_u]Ray[/name_u]. I guess [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] works…just wasn’t giving me the wow factor”
