Middle names for Ruby

Hi all! So it looks like my little sisters name is going to be Ruby! We are now trying to decide on a middle name for her. My other siblings and I all have a middle name that honors a family member, so that would be preferable but not an absolute rule! Here is a poll of possible family names we could use, as well as a couple other thoughts we have had (: Please feel free to leave any feedback or explain your answers, as well as any other suggestions you have!   • Ruby Jacqueline (my grandmothers name)
  • Ruby Ann (my mom and grandmas middle names)
  • Ruby Ellen (my other grandmas middle name)
  • Ruby Julia (close family member who passed away)
  • Ruby Joanne (great aunts name)
  • Ruby Noelle (her birth month is December)
  • Ruby Holiday (same as above)
  • Ruby Josephine (another name my parents really like)
  • Something else (leave a comment with suggestions!)

I voted for [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f] - I love it! I prefer it heaps over [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] for linking with the season. Such a happy, upbeat name!

I also voted for [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] (love this and love the grandmother link), [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (it goes well and your parents like it), and [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] (beautiful, neat, sounds great with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], links with a grandma.)

[name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is my favourite (and what I voted for) but if you really want to honour one of your family members, [name_f]Ruby[/name_f] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] is my favourite of those :slight_smile:

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] is my favorite because all of the other siblings have family names, but [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] are really beautiful, too! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] y’all are going with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! Not that my opinion matters, but it was my favorite of your options.

My favourite is Ruby Noelle! I think it is gorgeous! If it helps, my name is Ruby and my middle name is Imogen. So Ruby Imogen! I really love my name and (I know I’m biased) I think you have made a very good choice :grin:
