So, [name_f]Thora[/name_f] has been on our list for over a year now. In fact, it was one of the first names we put on our list. I still love it, but we have never found a really powerful combo that we both love when it comes to [name_f]Thora[/name_f]. Here’s what we have so far:
What do you think of these middles? Are any striking to you? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other middle name suggestions? We like a wide variety of names, but for [name_f]Thora[/name_f], we’d like something strong and unique. Thanks!
From your list I like
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]
But I really love [name_f]Thora[/name_f] Luminara from your signature. Or even [name_f]Lumina[/name_f] would be pretty. [name_f]Amadea[/name_f] too would be lovely.
I think I would prefer a more strong but girly name with [name_f]Thora[/name_f]. Maybe:
[name_f]Ophelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]
[name_u]Fable[/name_u]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
I know I’m late to this post, but I just wanted to say I love [name_f]Thora[/name_f]! I’ve been watching the show Vikings lately and there is a character with a similar name. My favorite part about [name_f]Thora[/name_f] is that it has two sides. One one hand, there’s the strong and powerful thunder god. On the other, there’s this soft, sweet image.
Of your combos, I like [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] best. [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelie[/name_f] is also lovely.
From your list, I love [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Felice[/name_u] and [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u].
Despite my critique here, I want to say that I love the name [name_f]Thora[/name_f] and I love all of your middles! I’m just being as thorough in voicing my opinions as possible to help you choose between all your gorgeous options!
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Temperance[/name_f] - it’s definitely wearable, but there’s also something that strikes me as a bit severe in meaning and sound. Perhaps too strong.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Starling[/name_f] - it sounds a little bit like a character in a young adult novel, but I love the nature meaning.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] - absolutely beautiful and perfect flow, truly other-worldly.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Felice[/name_u] - this is very sleek and sophisticated.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Cyan[/name_u] - [name_u]Cyan[/name_u] is an unfamiliar sounding name/word, and when I say it aloud with [name_f]Thora[/name_f] it sounds almost like a medicine. I like the name on its own though.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] - I think the repeated “oh” is a little too much.
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Velvet[/name_f] - this name feels really special
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] - it’s soooo stylish! [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] always reminds me of prayer. To me it’s as loaded as the name [name_f]Faith[/name_f]! But it’s a lovely meaning.
Favourites:
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Velvet[/name_f]
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]
[name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Starling[/name_f] and [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Felice[/name_u]
Would not use [name_f]Temperance[/name_f], [name_u]Cyan[/name_u], or [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]
My first thoughts were [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] and [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]. Also [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Leonore[/name_f], [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], [name_f]Thora[/name_f] Marcelline, [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_u]Dominique[/name_u], [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. I would use a long [name_m]French[/name_m] name as a middle name for [name_f]Thora[/name_f] and I would avoid a name that starts with a or e.
