I love [name]Miller[/name] for a boy so it’s not my absolute favorite, but I think it’s one of those surnames that’s obscure enough as a FN that it could easily be pulled off by a girl. I think [name]Miller[/name] is pretty chic and the nn [name]Millie[/name] is really cute. I think it’s totally do-able. 
Not a fan unless it’s a family name. Using a random surname you have no connection to just seems like you’re trying to be trendy and cool.
Sorry I really dont like [name]Miller[/name] for a girl. Not at all feminine plus I don’t see the appeal of it even as a boys first name

An 8 or 9 year old girl I ran into recently was named [name]Miller[/name] and I remember thinking, “Oh poor kid.” 
So yeah, I’m a kind of with your husband on this one. [name]Miller[/name] to me, sounds too much like beer OR a last name.

Thank you everyone for your honest thoughts. I really am not a fan of girly names and I like names like [name]Lennon[/name] and such for girls. I was hoping [name]Miller[/name] was not too far a stretch from surnames like [name]Lennon[/name] or [name]Harper[/name]. But it seems it may be. I appreciate the good comments. Thanks
I think [name]Miller[/name] is a cool name. I personally think it would be really cute for a boy! If you don’t love really feminine names then it is a good choice and different. I know a little girl named [name]Parker[/name] and even though I associate the name for a boy, it suites her and she’s not one of 3 [name]Ella[/name]'s in her class. Maybe using a girly middle name would change your husband’s mind? Good [name]Luck[/name]!
I agree that it would be okay for a boy, although the beer connection is unfortunate. I am not a fan of the alcohol brand names–Hennessy, Guinness, etc.
[name]Hi[/name] [name]Miller[/name] is now becoming a girl’s name rather than a surname, so if you want to have an unisex trend in naming your children this is a pretty name.
I like [name]Mila[/name] much more (pronounced as Mee Lah).
I know of a little boy named [name]Miller[/name] and I think it is so cool! I would never name a little girl [name]Miller[/name], but I guess you would have the girly nickname [name]Millie[/name] available.
