Milo too popular?

I love the name but I’m worried about its recent increase in popularity. I know no one can predict the future, but I’m wondering how many [name_m]Milos[/name_m] you know, how old they are, and where you live? We live in a Wisconsin city and I know of one baby [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and my hubby knows of an 80 year old [name_m]Milo[/name_m].

I know of just one but [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is his nickname. [name_u]Milan[/name_u] is his full name and he’s probably about 4 years old now. I live in WA state.

I know two [name_m]Milos[/name_m], so I don’t think it’s awfully popular.

I know one [name_m]Milo[/name_m] about a year old. I work at an elementary school and have never encountered one there. I think it’s a name popular in certain regions.

I know a few dogs named [name_m]Milo[/name_m], and of that actor Milo Ventimiglia, and a nine year old named [name_m]Miles[/name_m], but other that, no one. Its a good name, especially as a nickname. I say go for it. I live in the northeast US.

I don’t think it’s ever going to be over used. The only one I know is a dog. I love the name too!

I don’t know any but I don’t leave in an English speaking country. I will say though, that I know more and more people who are discovering this name. I won’t be surprised if it’s in the top 100 in 5 years, if that’s something that bothers you.
What about [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]?

I know a baby named [name_u]Milo[/name_u] and I’ve met 4-5 dogs named [name_u]Milo[/name_u] but I am around a lot of dogs. I live in the [name_m]Pacific[/name_m] NW

I don’t think it’s that popular. I live in [name_u]California[/name_u] and have heard of 1 [name_u]Milo[/name_u] in 10 years of having kids (it was at a kindergarten meet and greet last year). It’s a great name for a kid and an adult, plus it’s recognizable and easy to say and spell.

I tend to ignore the popularity charts and just go for what I love! In saying this, I decided againist [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] because there are little Olivers absolutley everywhere! It’s unbelievably popular where I am in the world.

So understand your concerns, but truth be told, I think [name_u]Milo[/name_u] is popular without being too popular. I say go for it! :slight_smile:
