I’d like a little pragmatic advice please, I’m perhaps assuming the worst and actually I’m over thinking this … Or maybe not?
So I love the name Wilhelmina, I love all of the nn’s Billie, Wilma, Mina, Nina, Willa, Winnie and of course Minnie. Problem is; my partners namer is Cooper!
Are references to the car inevitable? Does it matter? What about the modelling agency Wilhelmina Cooper?

Never heard of the modeling agency. I would write that off as a coincidence.
Maybe just avoid [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] and [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]–unless those your absolute favorites? are you planning on choosing one nickname or using several interchangeably? My favorites are [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_f]Mina[/name_f].

I love names with lots of nn’s. It wasn’t that I particularly would use [name_f]Minnie[/name_f], just that names seem to evolve as a child grows. I have step children and the daft things we call them grows year on year.
Never heard of [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] but just [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] the modeling agency. I’d just avoid the [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] NN. [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]'s a beautiful name.
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] is also from Wonder Years but doesn’t mean it’s unusable. Not sure if you were aware of that one.
[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] is the top modelling agency so I am surprised you haven’t heard of it, it is just known by [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] though, even though the founder was [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m]. I wouldn’t let that deter you, nor would I let “[name_f]Mini[/name_f] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m]” deter you either. I doubt many people would know [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]'s founder’s full name.
I immediately thought of [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] from Wonder Years.
I absolutely love [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]! I don’t think you’ll have to worry too much about the [name_f]Mini[/name_f]/[name_f]Minnie[/name_f] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] thing. That car probably won’t even be around by the time she’s in school. But yeah, avoid the [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] nn and it should be ok. I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f], myself.
