What do you think of Miri? Is it enough to be a full name? Or would it be better as a nickname for something else? Apparently it means: wonderful, peace and prosperous. And in the one of the indigenous languages of Australia (where I’m from), it means sun/star.
My other daughters are Vienna Rose and Mahayla Violet. So, I think, fairly unique and beautiful. I’m REALLY STRUGGLING to come up with a third name that I love as much and is of the same “flavour”.
I do think [name_f]Miri[/name_f] can work by itself (love it’s meaning) but I also like Miriana nn [name_f]Miri[/name_f], which would match the length more to her siblings names. Other longer forms I thought of could maybe be [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f], [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] or Mirren…
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the combos
[name_f]Miri[/name_f] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] (like the fact this ties in with your girls floral middles)
[name_f]Miri[/name_f] [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]
[name_f]Miri[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
From your other choices I like
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Aisha[/name_f]
[name_f]Samara[/name_f] (the similar [name_f]Samira[/name_f] or [name_f]Samiria[/name_f] could maybe shorten to [name_f]Miri[/name_f]? I personally really like Samira!)
[name_f]Selena[/name_f]
I’m sorry if that doesn’t narrow things down much, you’ve got some lovely options!
Naming is really tricky I understand why your struggling 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Personally I think [name_f]Miri[/name_f] could work as a name in her own right and I can complete see the appeal especially with her beautiful meanings. However I think she lacks a bit of substance next too [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] & [name_f]Mahayla[/name_f].
You could have [name_f]Miri[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] or @LouC suggestion of Miriana could work personally though I’m not keen on children sharing initials so not feeling this name as sister to [name_f]Mahayla[/name_f] & [name_f]Vienna[/name_f].
From your list I love [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Nyah[/name_f] and [name_f]Samara[/name_f]. Honestly I think [name_f]Samara[/name_f] is my favourite for your sibling set. [name_f]Samara[/name_f] is elegant, vibrant and has a romantic meaning ‘companion in night conversation’ she has stylistically just feels similar to your kiddos names.
I think [name_f]Miri[/name_f] is perfect for you! I absolutely don’t think you will regret it. I also think that the fact that it’s not short for anything makes it quite distinct and unique which I think is what your trying to go for. It fits in nicely with the sibling names. Are your children Aboriginal? If so I think the origin of the name is a really nice feature. [name_f]Kirra[/name_f] is also an Aboriginal Australian name which means ‘leaf’ there’s also [name_f]Kirra[/name_f] [name_u]Beach[/name_u] in Tweed Heads. It’s one of my favourite names and I think it has a similar feel to [name_f]Miri[/name_f].
From your list, the only other name which I feel fits with the other two girls is Siala (so pretty) and lot of the other names are quite traditional.
[name_f]Miri[/name_f] is such a beautiful choice! I think another floral middle name would work really well how about:
I think [name_f]Miri[/name_f] is great as a first name, but might be a bit too short to go with your other two girl’s names. [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] is a really cute full name to use [name_f]Miri[/name_f] as a nn with!
Samare is my favourite name on your alternative list.
I think [name_f]Miri[/name_f] can stand alone - it doesn’t have the length of your girls but it does have the stylish, sleek feel! [name_f]Miri[/name_f] S
apphire is lovely!!
[name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Mahayla[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (very unique btw), and
[name_f]Miri[/name_f] - (I see the potential for it to seem like an incomplete name but since [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] is relatively short in comparison to [name_f]Mahayla[/name_f] I actually think that [name_f]Miri[/name_f] could get along just fine in this sibling set. Also, I personally dislike giving kids longish or straight up long names and knowing in advance that I/they/them plan to shorten it majority of the time.)
Miriana ~ [name_f]Miri[/name_f] - (this I find quite pleasant soundwise. It’s very rich and rhythmic and retains the kind of exclusivity that your other childrens’ unusual names carry.)
[name_f]Mireia[/name_f] - (the nickname [name_f]Miri[/name_f] could also go well with this longer version given how similiar they already look and sound. If it’s unavoidable that a nickname is likely going to be used I have always personally preferred the name and the more frequently used nickname be very obviously close to one another, shortenings that are a stretch are so disagreeable to me. But of course this opinion may not apply to you at all.)
[name_f]Mirela[/name_f] / [name_f]Mirella[/name_f] - (both are pronounced the same in [name_f]English[/name_f], [name_f]Mirella[/name_f] is an Italian given name and as far as I am aware [name_f]Mirela[/name_f] is more commonly noticed in Romania and Croatia. So perhaps if you have an ancestral connection to one of these 3 countries it could be a way of honoring your heritage. Also, love love love how [name_f]Miri[/name_f] is not too far off from [name_f]Mirela[/name_f] or [name_f]Mirella[/name_f] especially in appearances.)
[name_f]Miruna[/name_f] - (more and more I kind of do think [name_f]Miri[/name_f] would be better as the day to day name but there are so many longer versions that can get you to [name_f]Miri[/name_f] I’m getting more drawn to them the more I give you suggestions )

[name_u]Misha[/name_u]
[name_f]Milla[/name_f]

I really like [name_f]Miri[/name_f] as a name on it’s own! It’s so sweet! [name_f]Miri[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is stunning.
I see you have [name_f]Samara[/name_f] on your list. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Samira[/name_f]? You could do [name_f]Samira[/name_f] with the potential of [name_f]Miri[/name_f] as a nn. Both [name_f]Samara[/name_f] and [name_f]Samira[/name_f] are gorgeous names.
[name_f]Miri[/name_f] is pretty! I think it would function better as a nickname, especially since your other daughters have longer names. (Which are beautiful names, btw!)
I suggest: [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], or [name_f]Mirelys[/name_f] as full names for [name_f]Miri[/name_f]!
As for your other names, I love [name_f]Juliette[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Aisha[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], Miriana (this could work perfectly!), [name_f]Samara[/name_f], and [name_f]Selena[/name_f]
Thank you so much, such a comprehensive response! [name_f]Mirella[/name_f] is sweet! And my girl’s pa (their dad’s dad) is Italian! His mum barely spoke [name_f]English[/name_f] and came to Australia as a migrant.
So many to consider, thanks again
