Ripley is 100% staying as my first name. I found a piece of my identity that I’ve never seen before yet recognized when I first heard it. Of the thousands of names I’ve looked into, this is the only one that got any type of reaction out of me.
A similar thing happened with the name Sol. I found a piece of my identity in it, but I tried to pass over the name. A year later and Sol always returns. It’s impossible to replace it even when I hate the name. In my last few posts I mentioned Sol once because it was starting to come back. It’s back. I now see that this name is as irreplaceable as Ripley.
So I have the middle name I’m looking for, but something is still off. I tried getting rid of Sol because I thought that everything being off meant it was the wrong name. Now it seems like I was actually missing 3 names with how well Ripley and Sol fit. Just one last piece is missing.
Oleander is getting my attention, but it’s not quite like Ripley and Sol. I love it and it almost fits, but ultimately the rest of the letter arrangements aren’t having it. I feel like I’m going in the right direction now but where do I start? What are names of similar sound or meaning that might work?
