Rosemary is my go to name - the one I always come back to after I’m done lusting over some new find. For this reason, I’m convinced it will likely be my future daughter’s name.
I’m having trouble coming up with a good middle for Rosemary. I’ve considered June and Jewel (both family names.) I like them, but am not GAGA over them. Can you throw some middles at me? I’m open to any suggestions you might have. My signature will give you a good idea of my naming style (which tends to be vintage-y and nature-inspired.)
Our last name is 2 syllables, rhymes with “smiling,” and begins with the /k/ sound.
Thanks in advance, Berry experts!
EDIT TO ADD: I just did a search for Rosemary and saw that “mn for Rosemary” has come up in the forums multiple times before… So I apologize for the redundancy! I will review the older threads, but would also love your current thoughts as well. Thank you!
Well, I think I’ve said this in a similar thread before, but I think [name]Grace[/name] is stunning with [name]Rosemary[/name]. [name]One[/name] of my friend’s is called this, and everyone was always so envious of her name. [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Grace[/name]. [name]Just[/name] beautiful.
[name]Rosemary[/name] is beautiful. “[name]Rosemary[/name] for remembrance” -I think of it as a more serious botanical name. [name]Rosemary[/name] is so hardy and the smell is fortifying! So, sweet vintage toughies for you, plus some others:
Thanks all! I really like [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Edna[/name] (another grandmother’s name,) [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Lark[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Lucille[/name], and [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Irene[/name]. Maybe [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Eileen[/name]? However, then initials would be R.E.K. Not the most flattering, I guess.
I don’t think REK is bad. I think it provides some good punk contrast to ladylike [name]Rosemary[/name]! [name]How[/name] often will she use her initials anyway? If you got something monogrammed, you could put the K in the middle. [name]Just[/name] R and K look great together with the R turned backwards…
I love, love, love [name]Rosemary[/name] and have daydreamed about it a lot, so I must say I’m going to project some of my own favourite combos with it…
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Thomasin[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Vivien[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Alethea[/name] (Rememberance, truth? I find that romantic, but I am a nerrrrrrd)
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Sybilla[/name]
The flow of two-syllables but with accent on the second seems flattering:
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Sinead[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Tamar[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Sabine[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
even
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Raquel[/name], if the alliteration isn’t too much, which I haven’t decided yet.
I must admit I favour [name]Kathleen[/name] over [name]Eileen[/name], but “just because” - I have no compelling case for why. I just really like [name]Kathleen[/name], even though it’s hardly stylish at this point.
