[name_f]My[/name_f] grandmother’s name is [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u] and I just don’t love [name_u]Jo[/name_u] or anything like it. Except maybe [name_u]Joan[/name_u]. I do like the name [name_f]Donna[/name_f] a good bit but I know a beautiful middle name would just sell me on it. I know it would mean so much to her.
I love over the top feminine names. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves feminine names too but he’s a lot more traditional. His favorite is [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], which I believe is beautiful but has no wow factor. There’s no selling him on something like the beautiful [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] or the like. A good biblical nod is always a plus for us. [name_m]Just[/name_m] need a name that sits right in the middle! And feel free to throw in those guilty pleasures too! Thank you berries!
If he likes [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], perhaps you’d both come around to [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]? Or for a little extra spunk, maybe something like [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Katherina[/name_f] or [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Catriona[/name_f]…
I like all the previous suggestions, especially [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about…

[name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Talitha[/name_f]- Arabic meaning little girl. Taken from the phrase “talitha cumi,” which [name_m]Jesus[/name_m] spoke to a young girl to bring her back to life. It means “little girl arise.”

[name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Zipporah[/name_f]
[name_f]Donna[/name_f] Photine (I really love this. [name_f]Donna[/name_f] has such an understated femininity and so does Photine. It isn’t the absolute most attractive name in the world, but it has a lovely feminine sound and really matches [name_f]Donna[/name_f] in many ways. [name_f]Donna[/name_f] also reminds me of the word/name [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], and Photine is “the illuminous one” reference to the morning star. And Photine is the Samaritan woman, so has the biblical connection for bonus points.)
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Diana[/name_f]?
It sits between [name_f]Donna[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] in my opinion, and it has ~sort of~ a biblical connection. It’s mentioned in Acts 19: 24-41, though I guess it’s the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] name for the goddess ([name_u]Artemis[/name_u]-Greek name) and according to Wikipedia, “[name_f]Diana[/name_f] is the only pagan goddess mentioned by name in the [name_u]New[/name_u] Testament.” Not sure if that sways you either way but thought I’d share
Trying to think outside of the things already suggested since ai don’t want to just be repeating. One thing I thought of is going with a name that has a similar meaning- I saw [name_f]Donna[/name_f] literally means “lady”.!A Nameberry search for that meaning turned up some possibilities whether it be for fn or mn … [name_f]Madonna[/name_f], [name_f]Freja[/name_f] (a similar [name_f]Freya[/name_f] is on the name rise lately); [name_f]Martha[/name_f] (biblical nod there); [name_f]Thespina[/name_f] and [name_f]Vevina[/name_f] seemed the most over the top on the list.
For [name_u]Jo[/name_u] I thought of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Johanna[/name_f] which are both biblical nods
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Diana[/name_f]; [name_f]Deanna[/name_f] was one that came to my mind. Or maybe even using the initials DJ if [name_f]Donna[/name_f] just doesn’t pull through although there are some cool mn suggestions above!
PS: loving what you have listed as your other favorites!
I feel like [name_f]Donna[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] sounds super chic. If you wannnt soomething wilder yet biblical how about [name_f]Apphia[/name_f] [name_f]Candace[/name_f]?
Wow! Thank you all so much. So many beautiful names on here it’s hard to choose a top favorite! I’m adding a list to my favorites
Loving-
